Hi Nicole, hope your little one is feeling better by now. I have a home remedy that you can use, I have tried this, my friends with young kids have tried this and it has worked! You will need to get a herb/spice called "Tumeric" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turmeric). It comes in a yellowish powder.
1. Take a pinch of tumeric and place it on the baby's head (in the soft spot area) and put in a little baby oil to hold the powder in place. Make sure your baby does on touch the area.
2. Leave this in there and wash it off later when you give the baby a warm bath.
I am suggesting this remedy only because I have tried it and it works! Hope this helps.

Humidifier, breething treetments wit a nebulizer and 1/2 ml. of benadril is ok. I asked my friend who is a nurse and she told my about that then asked my pedi to make dubble sure and she asked me( well is it working) I said yes I give it to him every 6 hours and she said (then continue doing what your doing) Babies are people to, they arn't as breakable as people think......thats what my doctor said. If you are a good mom and you know you are then use your instincts, they won;t steer you wroun.

Hello, my little guy has a runny nose as well. I have attempted to wipe out as much as I can...I think the stuffy gurgling nose bothers me more than him. I used the hydrosense saline drops for infants (2 drops in each nostril) 2 times a day. It seems to be working for us! Hope your little one is feeling better! :)

our little girl had a runny nose and cough at around 3 months....called the doc and they told me that you really shouldnt give them anything before 6 months (unless they are running a fever)....but what i found worked great was running a humidifier in her room, using the saline drops in her nose with the bulb syringe to clean it out...and johnson & johnson makes a vapor bath that seemed to help her (i think the vapor bath says not to use in babies under 3 months) steam from the bathroom also helped her a little...she got over it in a few days. good luck . hope your little munchkin feels better soon!
