What size is your 8 month old wearing? Our little one is in 12 month clothes and still fits in a few 9 month pajamas. Trying to figure out what size I should buy for summer. I would think 18 mos. but she's definitely not growing as fast as before.

My son is 8 1/2 months old and depending on the brand or type of clothing, he wears an 18 or 24 months. He is a little chunky but tall for his age. =)

Mine is also in 12-18 month clothes and is only 8 months old. I would get 18 months because she's probably going to have just one more growth spurt before 12 months.

My lil girl is wearing 12-18mos pjs, 12mos for everything else, although she'll need to move out of those before the end of the month I figure since the pants are getting to small for her. Im going to buy 18-24 mos for summer, but I guess she is a little taller than some :)

My daughter is going to be 9 months on the 17th and can still fit into 3-6 month pants. She can fit into 6-9 but also 3-6. She has such a small waist like her daddy.

Hi my little boy was 9months on the 10th of this month and he is in anything from 1-2 years, it really depends on where you shop. He has always been bigger and grows really really fast....at 7months he was 75.6cm and 10.61kgs...we have got a plunket check up this month will be intresting to see what it is:-p I say buy the next size up and maybe a couple of the size your little one is at the moment, they do tend to slow down a little in the second year:-)

My 8 month old wears some 9 month stuff and some 12 month stuff. She is 18 pounds and 27 inches. I've learned not to really look at the sizes too much, just if it fits her. I have 2 nine month outfits that almost look too small and another 9 month outfit that is very roomy. She has a few 2T shirts that she can wear as well and they are not huge on her either. Just buy what looks nice on your child because sometimes the posted size means nothing.

Wow! What a unbelievbable amounty of responses! We just purchased 18 months for summer, so we'll probably hold onto the tags and wait and see. Scarlet just weighed in at 19 lbs and 29 1/2 inches. She has mostly Carter's clothing in 12 months.

Glad to hear all the little ones are happy, healthy, growing little bugs!

It would definitely help if we knew your son's weight. My oldest was in 12 month clothes and 18 mo pajamas at 9 months. My daughter has always fit into the clothes that are for her age group and my youngest is 8/5 months and I have to put him in 18mo pjs but he wears 9-12 mo shirts and pants. Any one-piece outfit that snaps between the legs, he has to be in 18 mo size. He's just really tall. That will have some effect on clothes size. I'd get one size up for each clothes and pajamas for the summer. just not too many of them, b/c they may not be growing fast right this second, but they have growth spurts more frequently than grade school children. ...

My baby is a tiny boy and despite being 9 months on 17th April, he still wears 3 - 6 month old clothes, unless it'd from Mothercare and then he can often get in a 0 - 3 month clothes. He is the smallest in my post natal group tho

my daughter will be 9 months next week, and she is wearing 12 mos and even some 18 mos clothes. She has not fit in 6-9 months for a while now. The pants are still long, but anything smaller doesn't fit around her big belly. She's a little chunk...at 7 months she was 18 lbs, 11 oz.

wow my son is small. He is almost 8 1/2 months. at his last check-up he was 16 lbs and 28 inches long. 6 month clothes fit him around the waist but they are way short. so we have to buy 6-9 month and they are huge around the waist and just about the right length. he was 7lbs 3 oz when he was born.

my son is almost eight and a half months old and he is growing like crazy too...my son is wearing some twelve month clothes...but my sister in laws daughter was the same till it came to the last 2-3 months as she became a year and her growing slowed down so i would say 18 months cause then its more height and less weight gain...

My July baby is in 12-18 month clothes, of which some is too small already. so he is starting to wear some 18-24 month clothes now. he is 78cms tall...my father-in-law is over 2 metres tall, he can't walk through a door upright, so this one has his genes

We have a tiny bee. She is still wearing 6 month PJs although they are starting to show signs of becoming a bit too short. Onsies need to be 9 months to fit over the cloth diapers. 6 month pants fit good. 9 month pants still a bit big. She swims in 12 months size stuff.

My daughter is 8 months old and she is wearing anything from 9-12 months; We buy her dresses and shirts and jeans in 12 months and her shorts in 6-9. She is skinny but long. If you have the same problem you should try The Children's Place for clothes because all of the pants have the elastic in them so you can buy them bigger and use them longer

Gosh, I feel like the odd man out. My little girl will be 9 months on the 10th and is still in 3-6 months and wears cloth diapers. With a disposable diaper on she can still wear 3 months sizes. She's definitely one to wear out her Carter's hehe! Get's her height from me I guess as I'm only 4' 11" :-)

My son is 8 months old. He is wearing 12 and 18 month clothes. As the sizes get into 18 months, they stay in them longer so that's what I'm buying for summer. He should definitely make through until the end of the summer in them and maybe even into fall. At 6 months he was 22 lbs and 27 3/4 inches. He's a big boy!

temperance wears still oo which about is 3-6 months but she she short for her 9months of age it depends really on the child. my son was born in summer and he is always growing fast and tall!!!he was in size 1 buy this same age as my girl is now, and i always buy 1 size bigger for him he's 4 so he is wear in size 5 so i always think the bigger the better even if at first it swamps him he will grow into it.

B wears 12 month or 9 month onesies. He can still fit into a handful of 6 month clothes. He had a growth spurt and shot up from wearing 3-6 month to the 9-12 month in one week! Some of his 6 month jammies fit. It just depends. Mostly though, he wears 9 month pajamas. For pants though, he can still wear 3-6 month and some 6 month. Anything else is too long.
