The old wives tales say if you babies heartbeat is above 140 its a girl and under 140 its a boy. I just want to see how acurate this might be.. lol. I didnt find out the sex of my baby and Im due July 2nd, Im cheating to see if I can get some clues.. hehe.... What was the last fetal heart rate of your baby? And what is the gender??

I also don't know the sex of the baby but the heart rate has been consistently 150-160 bpm. With my first, a girl, the heart rate was always over 140 until the very end of the pregnancy.

At 25 weeks it was 156 and they say i am having a boy.

Our little boy's hr has almost always been under 140. It's been between 130 and 137 every time.

Mine's always been different. Usually around 140 but last time about 125. Off to the docs today so we'll see what it says then. I'm keeping it a suprise about what i'm having, but if you compare all the old tales it could be either - all out in front so a boy, craving sweet things, so a girl, want red meat, so a boy.......

I had heard the same old wives tale and with my pregnnacy with my daughter it was pretty accurate, her heartbeat was always above 140. This pregnancy though we found out we are having a boy through ultrasound at 20 weeks, but so far his heartbeat has also been over 140, at 24 weeks it was 155. So I guess you really can't be sure and use this as an accurate indicator of sex.

At 23 weeks 4 days, my little girl's heart rate was 150.
