Do you guys believe that in order to avoid gas and colic its better to use the bottles that have the bags inside as to just the bottle itself?

With my older son, I used and still use Avent bottles. They are about $18 for 2 bottles.
With my younger son, I tried Avent and he had trouble latching so he was getting lots of wind so my mum got me some of the "Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Breastfeeding Range" and they are just like a breast and they also have an anti-colic valve in them and I have not had a problem with them they are about $50 for 4 of the 260ml bottles

I use the Playtex Nursers with the drop in liners. Less fuss with washing bottles more waste though. I chose these since I am able to push out all of the extra air. I also use a spoon and remove all of the bubbles. I figure that all of that cuts down on the amount of air my daughter swallows so less gas. So far it seems to be working.

I've used Avent bottles with all 3 kids with no problems. They're expensive but worth it.

Our daughter is about 7 1/2 weeks and for 3 weeks we've been using "Dr. Brown's Natural Flow" bottles. They have been a lifesaver! I was exclusively breastfeeding but noticed she was getting what we believed to be colic. These bottles have made such a big difference.

When my babies were done breastfeeding, I just used the regular bottles with the orthodontic nipple and it always worked fine. Just remember not to lay him down with anything in it but water because of bottle mouth ~ I knew a boy that needed extensive dental work before he even hit puberty because of infections under the gumline from being napped with a bottle of formula and/or juice.

i use the tommee tippee easy valve bottles, and my son gets his wind up great, i swapped to the funnily enough anti-colic+ ones with the vent in the bottle and they made him worse, sometimes its better stick to just bottles then all the fancy gadgets!

I have tried a lot of bottles and finally found one that a swear by. The are called "Avent" bottles by Philips. They are expensive but totally worth it because it cuts down on how much air they ingest. They run about $10 a bottle...Good luck, Mommy
