My 17 month old is still pretty hooked on his bottles, on average he will have 3 a day still, is this really that bad?
Hes not a huge eater, id say more of a snacker, I think a big part of why he likes them so much is the comfort. What do you all think? any tips?

we have had our twin boys on sippy cups since 11 months but they still want a bottle at night time. im having trouble with the night time bottles..

Just a tip....I agree with the nuby sippy cup as it is made out of the same material as the bottle (rubbery). WIth my twins, we tried those cups first because of there similarities. One twin took to it right away, the other one we had to dab just a touch of sugar on the tip to make her suck on it. Once she realized what she would get out of it, she no longer used the bottle.

My daughter is 16 months and won't drink a lot of liquid from a sippee cup. We've tried about 20 different kinds to no avail. She still wants her bottle!

p.s dont water the milk down children under 2 need full fat milk to grow just put less in his bottle or try giving him hs food before he usually shouts for a bottle.

i woudnt worry my eldest had his till he was 5 and my 2nd till she was 3, they will give them up when they want to, cant understand why people are so hasty for there kids to grow up.

My 17mth old loves her bottle going to bed at night and will stir during the night looking for another one. During the day I only give her juice in a Tommee Tippee sippy cup, she refused all sippy cups iniatlly so I found the Tommee Tippee Nuby which has a non drip teeth.
I would definitely start watering down his milk as it is probably filling him to much

When my oldest daughter was 6 months old I got the soft nipple spill proof sippy cups by Munchkin- she took right to them. They are very similar to the Nuk brand- same concept. They're even shaped in such a way that holding them is easy still. You have to really stick to it though- throw the bottles away so he doesn't even see them around the house. Let us know how it goes :-)

We got a sippy by NUK that is just like a bottle but it the nipple is in the shape of a sippy but still feels like a bottle, and I gave that to my daughter and she only got juice of out it and after a couple of days she diddnt want her bottle anymore. She was off of the bottle by the time she was 7 months so try that. Good luck
