I'm glad I'm not the only one...My daughter is starting to refuse bottles at certain and she has no teeth either the dr. told me it probably is just a loss of appetite due to the teeth that are about to come in

My daughter is drinking 2 10oz bottles a day now, one when she wakes and one before bed. She also prefers table food as well, doesn't want to be spoon fed--wants to do it all herself. So, I've just stopped giving her the "baby" food and she eats whatever we make now, just with less spices. My Dr. said their gums are very strong and can mash little bits of food, so I'm not too concerned about that.

it's completly normal for 9mounts old baby to want table food
he is a human just like you. Luka is eating with us for a 1,5 mounts now and he is fine and happy. he drinks only 240 ml milk at 20h before bed and wakes up at 3am for anouther 15ml and thats all the milk he drinks. he's 9,5 mounts and weights 9300g and high 76cm. so don't worry if he wants your food just give it to him

My baby only wants table food as well. She eats basically what we eat. As long as it is something she can gum to death. I also keep canned fruit and veggie soup on hand for quick ideas. I give her the veggies and noodles out of the soup not the soup part itself. But she has to eat with her own hands or she gets mad. You might try giving your little one formula with a sippy cup instead of a bottle.

If your baby wants table food at 9 months there is no reason not to give it to her. My son thinks it's the greatest thing ever when he gets food off my plate :)

The amount on the tins is only a guideline, my boy when he was younger used to want more then what the tin says and since he was 4months he has wanted less. Nothing to worry bout at all as long as your baby doesn't start losing weight. My boy would prefer to eat food we are eating then have a bottle any day.

My little guy is like this every time he gets a tooth. The tooth comes through and it goes back to normal. Good luck!

ya, my lil aubrey is the same way with cows milk. If me or my husband have it, she steals drinks and eats verry well with her 3 meals a day. I also use cheese as a snack for her, i just give her little pieces off of a slice or chunk. she attempts to chew but has no top teeth just 2 bottom teeth at the moment, so i dont think it does much good. they grow up 2 fast.

My Amelia is the same.. I'm lucky if she takes one bottle a day! Sometimes she'd rather have more cow's milk than formula so i use both.. Perhaps Olivia is ready to try cow's milk instead?  As for the food you should consider yourself lucky! I know some mothers struggling to transition their kids!! My friends 2 yr old barely eats any table food.. Just watch your salt content and puree it to a comfortable level for her and gradually make it lumpier to get her used to the textures.. trust me it's really important.  Amelia eats both jar food and home cooking,, she loves it but refuses anything with even a touch of salt.. She's got 4 teeth now.. will bite anything but can't be bothered to chew lol.

my lil one drinks 2 or 3, 6 oz bottles a day.   with her 3 meals and a snack... but it seems that she is getting less interested in the bottles too

Mine just turned 9 months old as well and the same thing is happening to us. We thought he was self-weaning from breast-feeding, but he's not interested in the bottle either (doesn't matter if it's breastmilk or formula). Some in my mom's group are experiencing the same thing which leads me to believe that this is normal.

I have been told by my pediatrician that changing appetitie is normal. Think about it when we are not feeling well we do nto want to eat as much. When Ora's teeth started to come in she was not interested in anything going near her mouth unless she absolutely had to. Like right now she has 4 teeth coming in and her food intake has gone down. She is still eating her 3 bottles a day 1 cup of juice cereal & 3 meals but she not eating as much at each setting as she normally does. And Megan every child is different. My daughter eats way more than my son did at this age!

My daughter is still doing her 5-6 ounces six times a day, plus fruit and oatmeal for breakfast, vegetable soup for lunch and jar of food for dinner. Is this too much?

My daughter is doing that too, only she cut herself down to about 15 oz a day milk when she decided she didnt want her bottle any more, just wants her sippy. we have had problems because she thinks that she can eat table food and will snatch it if you dont watch closely.

Maybe the emerging of teeth is the reason for all of that! My baby loses her appetite whenever new tooth is about to outbreak. She also wants to bite solid things and food. It will pass, don't woory.

yup!  baby wants my food all the time.  Even if he just ate he whines if he sees me eating and I dont share.   The bottle is okay but has less interest for him.  We are still partially nursing so he will do that but not for as long unless he is sick.

My daughter only takes 3 8oz bottles a day. She has never taken more than that. She does eat 3 meals a day. She eats 1/2 jar fruit with 2 tablespoons of oatmeal for breakfast, 1 jar vegetables for lunch and 1 jar of vegetables for supper. If yours just wants table food by all means give it to her. My nephew (now 11) never would eat baby food. He went straight to table food. Just grind in very fine.
