hi my names mel .lilly is my first baby, shes great shes started to really teeth at the mo, and have just started soileds with her. trying to make my own dinners but havnt got past potato, carrots, butternutsquash more potato. any recipies would be good

I make my own organic food for Finley. I like the wholesomebabyfood.com web site. I also like Annabel Karmel babyfood books. She has some great puree combination recipe. We have done sweet potatoe, peas, green beans, butternut squash, apple, pear, apricot, chicken with sweet potato and apple, carrots, We're not starting more finger foods. He likes small chunks of potato, sweet potato, shredded chicken, brocolli and banana. Good luck!

Well I make all my own food (cooked and then pureed in the blender) as well. Here is what I've given my son since he was 5 months old: Green Beans, Peas, Carrots, Sqaush, Zucchini, Mixed Veggies, Sweet Potato, White Potato, Lentils, Avocado, Apples, Peaches, Pears, Apricots, Banana, Oatmeal. I've heard avacado is great for them b/c it's so smooth and high in good fats. We haven't tried yet though.
