Having trouble getting our son out of our bed!

My son will be 2 in a couple of days and won't sleep all night in his own bed. He does good until 4am or so then crawls into our bed. He kicks and makes it very difficult to get a good nights sleep. He has been sleeping in a toddler bed for over a year now and loves it, just won't stay in it. Any ideas?

put him back in his bed no matter how many times he gets out and comes to your room take him back to his room soon he'll get the idea that mommy & daddy not gonna let me stay in there room & he will give up.

BUT YOU CAN'T WHAT SO EVER GO BACK ON IT OR IT WILL BE 10 TIMES WORSE

We have been putting him back in his bed after he falls back asleep. he is one persistant child and hasn't gotten the hint yet. he is getting better though at going to his bed when he gets tired instead of falling asleep in the living room. thanks for all the advice!

we co slept with our daughter until she was 14 months and baby #2 arrived, it was a struggle at first and I am not one for the "cry it out" method, have you tried lying with him in his bed until he falls back asleep.. or maybe a night light?? does he still have a bottle?

I wait for my son to fall asleep then i put him in his cot that is next to our bed and if he gets up at night i put him in the bed with us but as soon as he is asleep its back to the cot. We only sleep the whole night with him when he isnt well or when he's being clingy.

A baby gate to block his door so he can't get into your room? Or, when he comes into your bed put him right back into his bed and explain to him it's still bedtime and that he has to stay in his bed. If he keeps coming back into your bed, just keep putting him back in his. It will take some time, but he will get the point.
