How long can rice cereal mixed with breastmilk sit out?

I know breastmilk can sit out for several hours, but how long can rice cereal mixed with breastmilk sit out? Sometimes Owen is just too tired and fussy to eat much before he takes a nap.

i'm sure it's fine to leave it out for as long as you'd leave out regular breastmilk.. does the box have any instructions about how long you can leave it out?

the official advice is not long! i usually throw it out if he's not interested after a few attempts.

I have no idea. I usually throw it out if she doesn't eat it all. I'm only mixing 2 ounces at a time right now, so I don't feel like it's such a waste. The cereal gets so soupy when it sits.
