I have a 2 year old girl who turned 2 in June and she has been potty trained for a long time now but I have still having problems getting her to go poo poo in her potty. She has gone at least 3 times in her potty but that's it. Has anyone else had this trouble and what can I do? The doctor told me it will come to her but it has been a couple of months and still nothing. Please help!

what really worked with my daughter was a little reverse psychology. She knows what she wants and half of the time, she doesn't listen to me because she wants to be defiant. In order to get her to begin using the potty, I told her "you better not sit on that potty" in a little silly voice. She right away sat down. Then i worked into "you better not peepee/poopie" this worked for me, however, if your daughter isn't the defiant type, i wouldn't push too hard on her. She'll get it in time. Girls usually potty train at about 2 1/2 years, so the fact that you have her going now is something to be proud of. Just be persistent, let her know the diaper is there if she needs it, oh and buy her panties. The thrill of getting to wear big girl panties like mommy was what really got my daughter hooked. Get her training panties and regular ones, maybe with her favorite character on them! Hope this helps :-)

We are still not potty trained here so I think you are doing great with your daughter. She will be ready when she wants to go. I have always been told not to push them when you are potty training.

All I can say is don't push too hard. She will do it when she is ready . I know for my son I I didn't change his poopy diaper right away and he got tired of that feeling pooped and started going in the potty .

i am having the same problem. my daughter was also 2 in june and she wont do poo poo in there either. your not alone..
