Refusing Milk!

My pediatrician said to add a bit of chocolate syrup. Like 1 or 2 DROPS and let your little one see it so they know its a treat. I still do it on occasion but it was really just a phase. Good luck!

they have drinks for toddlers that look like juice boxes but its actually like a protein shake. sell it in the baby food section at walmart

my kid is 2 years old..she also refuse milk..But sometimes she drink chocolate milk..or soy milk with vanilla..when she want any..i gave her cheese or milky cream on breakfast or yoghurt.Good luck!

My son, Billy, was all about the milk! Until I took him off the bottle and he started using a cup. Now he hardly ever wants milk...just juice. I figured, if I water it down 1/2 and 1/2 then it's not sobad. He is allowed 2 sippy cups of juice for the day and the others must be milk or water.

hi there i just recently went to the doc about the same issue. he told me that at 2 they dont need as much milk. it can actually be bad for them. as long as she gets calcium from else where then she is fine.

Hi Kristy dont worry we used to call my son milky boy and suddenly he refused the milk when he was around 2 just give extra calcium.

You could try mixing in a syrup of some sort into it such as chocolate or strawberry. You could add just enough to make it taste a little bit. Have you brought this up with the doctor? It may be that the milk hurts her tummy (possible intolerance).

You could also try lactose free milk. It tastes better to some kids.

My daughter started refusing milk at the age of one at first I was lost but then I realized that there are substitutes for milk she enjoys SOY MILK so maybe try out that.

my little girl was breastfeed til she was 13 months and when i introduced cows milk to her she didn't want it. she only started to drink it when she was 18 months (we persisted with it til finally she drank it). For about 4 months, she drank it everyday but then suddenly stopped, taking it only on occasions. Now she still only takes it on occasions, depending on what she is eating.

my daughter is exactly the same and according to my maternal health nurse, she doesn't have to have milk. As long as she is getting 2 sevings of calcium a day she is fine...my 2 year old doesn't have milk everyday....and on the days she doesn't i make sure she has a yoghurt and some cheese during her meals/snack.

Try blending some fruit into her milk.
