Hi Ladies
I find that I'm getting in to a rut with snacks for Siya. I give her yogurt, cheese, bananas, oranges, pears, bread, crackers. I need some more ideas for snacks in between meals. Any suggestions? Thanks ladies

I feed my LO the same things, but at meal times. She refuses to eat babyfood or anything from a spoon. I give her rotisserie chicken bites, cheese toast/grilled cheese, french toast, cinnamon raisin toast with butter, cheese doodles, strawberries, blueberries, Kix, cheerios, cereal bars (Nutrigrain), mac and cheese, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, whole wheat pasta with parm cheese, meatballs, and veggie fritters (shredded zucchini, carrots and sweet potatoes mixed with a little pancake batter). I also give gerber puffs and yogurt melts. I try to serve from each food group, making sure she gets enough protein and calcium, along with veggies/fruits for vitamins. I'll even give a little something sweet every now and then so it won't be such a big deal for her later in life. Good luck!

Your snacks sounds like what I feed at meal times. My LO refuses any babyfood or cereal or most anything off of a spoon. So I feed her toast (loves cinnamon raisin and french toast), pasta with parmasean cheese, cheese toast, strawberries, blueberries, mac and cheese, peas, carrots, green beans, sweet potatoes (you can by the canned ones...they're soft and I just rinse them off), Kix and cheerios. I also made vegetable fritters with shredded zucchini, carrots and sweet potatoes and mixed them with a little pancake batter. She gobbles them up!

I have been trying new fruits every time I go to the store. It is fun for me to try new things too and hopefully it will help give the kids an appreciation for a range of foods. So far, we have had kiwi, pear, pineapple, blueberries, blackberries, mango, bananas, and plums. I also do cheerios, Gerber puffs, Gerber yogurt bites, and the other things you mentioned. I would maybe just rotate the snacks so you don't get tired of one thing before going to another.

my boy loves the gerber veggie puffs and dried yogurt bites. I give him apple slices in those mesh holders so I dont worry about choking. Otherwise I think I give him all the same things.
