Walking?

My son was also able to hold his head up shortly after birth while still in the hospital. It is amazing how strong these little beings can be right after birth!

My daughter was born June 24th. She has been walking with assistance for at least 2 months now. Just recently she has been walking more by herself. She loves her new found freedom!

My daughter was Born June 16, 2008. She started standing on her own when she was about 9 months old. She has been trying to walk for the past 3 weeks, with walking to something she can hold onto or falls then crawls to her destination. LOL! It'll be in no time she's off...

My little man started taking steps on his own at 10 months but would walk along the furniture at 8-9 months. He was walking around everywhere at 11 months

My daughter was bor 06/13/08 and she began walking by herself at 11 months, so about 2.5 weeks ago. SHe is everywhere and boy is she fast.

Ava Nevaeh was born 6-4 and just started walking yesterday! She is still wobbly and falls down a lot but she is walking!

mine was born june 30th, he started walking when he was 9 months and has now moved on to running. but i think he was born late, hes huge and he was holding his own head up the day he was born. My friends little girl is a july 08 baby and shes half his size and hasnt started standing yet. all babies work at their own pace :) its normal

My little guy was born on June 30th and hasn't started walking yet. He pulls himself up on the furniture and will walk from one end of the sofa to the other (holding on). He's been crawling since April. He crawls pretty fast and is already into everything. I can only imagine the fun that walking will bring.

My little boy was born on the 24th June, was furniture walking at 7.5 months and has only just started walking now, well he takes 7-8 steps by himself and then falls on him bum. He must think that crawling is much faster than walking atm lol. My girl started walking at 14.5 months. Each baby is different and will do things when they are ready.

My baby girl was born on June 5th and she is not walking. She actually just figured out how to pull herself up 2 weeks ago. She will walk if you hold her hands

My son will be 1 on the 3 June and has been standing by himself and walking around holding onto tables and chairs for about 4 months now and about 2 weeks ago took 1 step and burst into tears and has not done it again... but it is all in their own time. He has this really cool walker (looks like a funky plastic zimmer frame) and he walks around the house with that.

My Jean-Paul was born June13th, and is walking all over the place. Don't Panic J.P. (as we call him) is number 7 for me and every one walked at a different age. My twins were a year and a halh before they walked. Each child reach the big milestones in their own time. Enjoy him while he can't run away from you yet...lol

Kaden was born June 1st and walks while holding onto something and has taken a few steps, but I think he prefers to crawl! He is the fastest crawler I have ever seen!!

My daughter was born june 24th, she is walking, she started about a week before she turned 11 months...shes squats and gets up, gets up from sitting etc...shes pretty good, but she seems to spend most of her playtime practicing, shes very proud :)

My daughter was born June 22 & started walking May 6th on her own and hasn't stopped. She is into everything and nothing stays where it is supposed to. It is really quite funny and cute to see someone so small walking around. I'm sure your son will be walking/running in no time!!!

My daughter will be 1 on June 5 and just started walking last Saturday. This is after months of everyone practicing with her.

Lilli hasn't started walking yet, she was born on 24th of June 2008. She still stands on her tippee toes most of the time and moves along the couch. The earlier they learn to walk the earlier you have to chase after them, I'm in no rush

My son was born June 26th. He started walking, assisted, at three months, learned to stand on his own at seven months, and took his first steps at ten months. However, he hasn't taken any more since. He peels our hands off of himself, stands on his own, contemplating it, then usually lunges into the arms of whoever is close by.
Don't worry about it though, the normal range is 9-18 months, so he has plenty of time.

Yes, my son started trying to walk at 9 months and is getting around quickly now, but by no means has mastered this skill (as you might see in some of his photos the bruises from bumping into toys). But I've heard of children not walking until up to 14-16 months or so.

My daughter Meridith was born on the19th june, she has been crawling for 2 weeks started pulling herself up 4 weeks before that! She loves to walk with help and took 2 steps earlier this week. She just needs a little more confidence then there will be no stopping her. She looks so small though she is only 17.6 lbs!

Our son, Finley was born June 10th. He started walking at 10 1/2 months. He won't sit down... always on the go. He is very steady on his feet and is now trying to run...OH NO!

I wouldn't stress - my daughter was born on 15th June, 2008 and she just started crawling 2 days ago. My 3yo also didn't crawl until 11 months - she started walking at about 14 mths. They all develop at their own rate!! Best of luck

Hi, My son was born June 21st, and he isn't walking yet. Though coasts along the furniture and crawls like a demon! Like was said before they're all individuals; my other three kids were walking at 11months, 14 months, and 10 months respectively! Has actually started on stairs now - they have no fear do they? :P

Every child is different, my baby boy is 1 on the 23rd June and he is not even crawling although we have had some health issues with him, my oldest child she was nearly 18 months and our middle child he was 14 months, so don't worry to much if by 18 months they are still not walking talk to your health nurse.

Mine is not walking yet but standing and sometimes walks with hold one of my hands instead of both...dont rush it I heard they could get scared if they have a bad fall and will be hesitant to try again

My daughter was born on June 21, 2008, she started walking just after she turned 9 months old. She would walk a couple of steps, fall down, crawl to a table or something to pull herself up and then try again. Now she can practically run!

My son was born on June 4th and he is not walking yet. He cruises and is beginning to stand on his own, and crawls at the speed of light. I am being told by my friends with kids who walk that I should savour this time! Once they walk, you have to run!

My daughter was born June 30, 2008 and she is walking. She is taking about 6-8 steps on her own but usually holds onto our hand to get around. ALTHOUGH, she is not crawling and seems to be doing things backwards. We're now working on her pulling herself up so when she falls she doesn't just sit there and cry. Is anyone else dealing with a backwards child?

My little girl was born on June 18th...she can stand on her own and has taken 4 steps but then catches herself on the couch. She's only taken the steps about 4 or 5 times. The standing has been about 3 weeks.

My son was born a day after yours. He's standing on his own, but hasn't taken that first step yet. He'll walk a mile a minute if you hold his hands. Soon, though!
