What do your babies sleep in now that nights are getting colder?

We've just had to turn on the heat at night here in upstate SC (but will probably have a few more warm spells still to come), and we keep the temp at around 68 during the night. Last night she slept in a onsie and socks underneath a regular weight sleep 'n play outfit. It's just that her hands and head were cold when I would pick her up to nurse! What do you do?

I live in New England where it is 70 one day and 20 the next. I have had the heat set to 66 or so and I have been dressing my son in fleece sleepers with the feet. He seems to be fine in them.

my aunt got me this thing, I don't know how to describe it except it's like a wearable blanket. It's an old norse sleeper apparently. If my boy weren't in it right now I'd tell you the brand. I'm assuming you could look for it online. It looks like a gigantic overall/dress that is closed at the bottom. flannel/wool mix.

We keep our house around 68 during the day and our daughter plays in just a sleep and play. At night, the temperature dips to 66 in our home and we put a fleece sleep sack over the sleep&play and she seems quite comfortable, even though her hands are often cold when I feed in the middle of the night. My pediatrician said that cold hands are ok. If she is too chilled, she will fuss and let you know. It is better to be underdressed than overdressed for a baby. Hope that helps!

I live in Northern Ontario, and It's just below 0' Celcius here now, (so 32 F) and gets to -30' C by Jan-Feb. I keep my girl in a onsie, with the button/zip-up one-piece pjs overtop, and a light-wieght blanket (sometimes two because she tends to kick it off or roll) But yeah, we have really cold winters and sometimes even with the fireplace on its just never warm enough :P

With my daughter she started sleeping in footie pj's the first winter and those with a blanket worked just fine. I plan on doing the same with James. Good luck!

I put my son in a sleep'n'play outfit and then wrap him in 2 flannel receiving blankets (as I have done since the moment he's come home) - I have just started adding another light weight blanket over him. It keeps him warm enough. His hands do get cold, but he goes crazy if I tuck his arms in the blankets any more because he sucks his thumb. That's what I do...
