i used dr. brown bottles and they were great with gas and colic. they are patented so i definately recommend dr brown. they are also not very expensiv which is nice.

With my oldest, I used the drop ins from Playtex and he did wonderful. With my 2nd, I tried him with those but he didn't do very well. I tried him with the Playtex Ventaire .... HUGE improvement!! Helped with his reflux issues, as well. I highly recommend this!

just go with the flow and if your new bubba dosnt like it then change bottles your baby will tell you what will work for the both of you. congrats on you 2nd baby and best wishes to your famliy

I used Medela bottles for the first few months, though only once or twice a day because she was breastfed most of the time. She never seemed to get the right amount of milk from the nipples, either too little or too much depending on which nipple I tried. I also tried Avent and did okay with them but switched to Green to Grow, and she did much better. I liked them because of the non-toxic materials and eco-sensitive design and packaging. She found them easy to hold and seemed to really like the nipples. She was never a big bottle-eater and weaned herself off of them completely by about 8-9 months, but Green to Grow was definitely our best option.

I love drop ins, there so easy to clean, since the bag and the nipple only get dirty and being able to puch all the air out is wonderful. any bottle with a valve/straw like doc brown are such a pain in the bum... you'll have to buy a special bruch to clean the tubeing. HATE THEM!

My son doesn't like wide neck bottles ( I tried MAM, Green to Grow ) so after not breastfeed, i just use Medela bottles and Evenflow. It suited him perfectly

I agree with Christie (mom of 4 i wish i had her strength). i would only buy 2 bottles and like ten nipples and they would definitely be playtex drop ins. super easy to clean, which if you're like me is the most important thing! i used playtex vent air with my first son and i had to clean 5 tiny parts all day long (kill me i hate doing dishes!!!) lol! i also try to use the same bottle or sippy cup all day so that i don't have a mountain of them at the end of the day. if you have trouble with spitting up or gas you can get the formula that helps with that i signed up online with similac and they send me 2 or 3 $5 coupons every month for any type of formula i love them and there website it has been the most helpful website i have ever signed up for, even during pregnancy!!

I used the playtex drop-ins for both of my children. With my younges, who is now 20 months old, I used the generic drop-ins that I bought at our local grocery store and they worked just the same at half the price. I had a friend who used the Dr. Brown bottles and absolutely hated them. Good luck!

Well after I accidentally melted the playtex bottles I had I swicthed over to born free and my son liked those much better and he wasnt gassy...If I have another baby I would def go with born free bottles again even though they are a lil pricey...

just a hint from a mom of 4: each baby will prefer a different bottle!! Don't go out and buy a ton of bottles, because your new baby will want the one you didn't get!!! This is especially true if you're breastfeeding along with the bottles!!

I used the Avent bottles. They're a little more expensive, but I loved them. They didn't leak and some of them even come with a little container that snaps to the bottom of the bottle to hold formula or snacks.

When my daughter was born I get some Nuby from the hospital and I really like them(I stopped using those because they were 4 oz and I all ready have like 20 of the others), then I used Dr Brown and I HATE THEM, they were always leaking and so messy. But I also got the Playtex Drops In and for me they are my favorite and she keeps using them.
If I have to choose a brand again it will be between Nuby and Playtex of course.

For both of my boys I used Playtex Ventaire. They help in reducing gas and super easy to clean because they come completely apart ;)

I used Medela bottles for the first 4/5 mos (great while breast feeding & the bottles fit the pump)... then stuck with Dr. Brown & LOVED them! They are the best you can buy!!! My daughter did not take in air. Stopped spitting up and they are my favorite - I would highly recommend them!

I loved the Dr. Browns bottles but with my second child I found I had to buy new ones because the older ones were leaking. They really helped my daughter with her acid reflux issues.

When my son was born we used the Evenflow bottles but by the time he was five months old he was sucking on them so hard the he would collapse the nipples. Some one gave us a bunch of Avent bottles and they worked out a lot better for him. He didn't have to struggle to get the milk out. When my daughter was born I used some of the Medla bottles that came with my pump, but after a few months we switched back to the Avent. They seem to work the best and are the most versatile, especially for switching over to the sippy cup. If I have any more children I'm going continue to use the Avent bottles and give away the rest, with the exception of the two Medla bottles that came with my pump.

I used Parents choice, Playtex Vent air and Playtex Drop ins. I used Parents choice for both of my kids when they where babies. I used Vent air with my son and I didn't like it cause it would let the Formula out. I used the Drop ins with my Baby girl and I like them a lil better then vent air. My all favorite are the regular bottles such as the Parent Choice brand from Wal Mart.
Both of my kids did will transitioning to a sippy cup.

we used avent. with our daughter we tried a bunch of different bottles... eventually a friend gave us an avent to try and she loved it! because of the wider nipple, there was a lot less air swallowed and a lot less gas. we washed and reused that same bottle for a week til we got to the store to buy some for ourselves. we used them wtih my son as well and he loved it, too.

No my glass bottles did not break I bought a skin that goes on top of the bottle and my son threw them like crazy and they never cracked. The skins are kind of expensive which is why I only bought 1 but it was worth it.

My daughter used Born Free and still does. One plus is now that she's older (19months)it turns into a sip cup so no need for 10 different cups. You can purchase the cup nipple that come in pack of two and it fits just like bottle nipple does. They also sell handles that are great for little hands. Non toxic and hold up to everything she has. They also make glass if you don't like plastic.

at first i used the chicco well being feeding bottles but when i learned that their bottles are not bpa free, i switched to tommee tippee bpa free bottles. so far i liked it and the only thing i can complain about it is that it's a bit bulky...

i used Avent for both my children ... it has a wider teat is suppost to help when weaning from the breast .. my kids transferred with ease...they loved them.

I used Gerber Clearview bottles with both of my kids. They are BPA free & are only $3-$4 for a 3 pack of 5oz or 9oz bottles. I love these ones!

For my daughter she did best with Playtex Ventaire. They curve towards the top, helps the baby not breathe in air while they drink. And it helps to reduce gas and spit up. I use Avent too from time to time! Hope that helps!

We used Avent because my sister in law got us a whole bunch for the baby shower. They advertise no gas for babies. My daughter liked them fine.

For our twins we used the parents choice bottles from walmart, but with our third who is due in July, we're going to be using the Nuby bottles. We're hoping with those it will be an easier transition down the line once we start sippy cups.
