we got our daughter a convertable trike with the handle at the back and a silver name bracelet!

she got so many books and toys and clothes from her friends and family its not funny!

I got Liv 2 books, one toucky feely bedtime book, and an elmo book that makes sounds. I also got her Pete's Dragon (movie for rainy days), an activity table made by bruin that came highly recommended by other moms, and a totally awesome kiddy pool that has a slide, and a sprinkler, and other cool stuff. Her bday is next week. I am taking her to Canadas Wonderland on her birthday and her party is the following weekend. I think friends of ours are getting her a sandbox, a playhouse, and a ball tent.

My mom actually got it for her, but a cozy coupe car. Her favorite present! She climbs in and out, in, out, in, out ect. It says 18mo to 5years but she loves it now. It has a removeable floorboard for when they are ready to push themselves :)

We bought my son a life time hunting and fishing license which was drastically reduced in price if we bought it for him when he was under 1 year old. We knew he would get many toys from his aunts and uncles so we really didn't buy him any.

My husband and I bought him a basketball ring with different colored balls. He loves to sort out colors and point at his color chart on the wall.

We opted for a swing set. That way we can use a toddler swing at first then she can use the slide and big swings when she gets older. We are getting one of the metal ones from Walmart that run around $130. I had some family members ask what to get her and I asked them to contribute to the swing set. She's only 1, it's not like she noticed that there was no present from Mem and Pep!

I gave my son a couple books in a box with lots of wrapping paper and stuffing for him to play with!! At this point what ever gift you get your kiddo is more for your pleasure than his. He will probably have more fun playing with wrapping paper and boxes. If there is something that you would really like to have for your little guy around your house that is probably a good gift to get. My mom asked me what I wanted her to get for my sons first birthday and I really wanted a double jogging stroller for my son and daughter so I asked her to help my buy one and my son had tons of fun taking the wrapping paper off of the box and then playing in the box after I took the stroller out.

My son just had his first birthday on the 7th, I too didn't know what to get him, but after watching what interests him, in play and bath, I got him the fisher price little people tug boat for bath time play and clothing, but I got rellies to by him other different things, my brother bought him Duplo lego 1.5-3yrs (which I thought he might be too young for but he loves it), parents gave him a tonka truck, my husband suprised us both with a thomas the tank engine chair (sneaky he was in buying it with out my knowledge...but my boy sits in it at night while playing with us) he thinks he soooo smart, just take the time to see what interests him the most and go with the flow

My DD just turned 1 on saturday. We got her the Step 2 wagon and tag along trailer combo. She absolutely loves it! Its totally going to replace her stoller for walks and going to the park.

I have had such a hard time with the whole what to get for my son's birthday. We ended up getting him some electronic teaching toys because he loves to push buttons. I would also like to get him a flip-out kids sofa. It would be nice to have for nap time and it would give him something his size to sit on.

a disney princess toddler bed, because her younger sibling will be here in a few months and i want her to be used to her bed and done with the crib before the new baby comes so she doesnt get jealous. its super close to the ground and was really easy to put together. she hasnt slept in it yet, but we put her on it and she crawled out head first but didnt fall it was really cute.

I got Elizabeth an electronic book that sings and makes nioses as she turns the page. I also got her a little blow up ball pit that I hope will be perceft for rainy days. She turns 1 on Friday! I keep flip-flopping between happy and sad.
