my son weighed 10.7 when he was born. he will be 6 months on the 26th , he weighs 27 pounds, not sure about the length. He is a healthy happy baby boy. He is a breastfed baby, but has started baby rice cereal 2 weeks ago.

My daughter delivered at 6lbs 13oz & 19 3/4inches. At her 6 month appt. she measured at 26 3/4inches & weighed 15lbs 3.6oz. 48% for weight & 70% for height. :)

Milly just turned 6 months and we went to the docs and they had her at 24 inches and 13.8 lbs so she is a peanut as well. My twins at this age were already 20lbs so its weird having a small baby

My son Scott weighed 6 pounds 2.6 ounces at birth and he just had his 6 month check up today and weighs 18 pounds 10 ounces and is 25 3/4 inches tall!!! He is a big boy!!!

Our Viv was born at 7 lbs. 15 oz. and will be 6 months on the 21st. Yesterday she weighed 16 lbs. 10 oz. with clothes and diaper on and measured 26.25 inches. I believe both her weight and length are around the 75th percentile. We'll see what she is at her 6 month well check. She has been ravenous today, so I think she is starting her 6 month growth spurt a tad early!

they all gain in there own time my boy was 3.8 born and at six months is above average he was only that small cause he was almost 7 wks early do yeah i do beleive each to there own..

a week before my daughter was 6 months (she was sick and took her to the daughters) she weighed 13 lbs 14 oz she is so long but they didnt measure her. my older daughter is 24 months and she weighs 21 lbs. small children run in my husbands family. she is in the 3-5th percentile for both.

my 4yr old(6.10 at birth) was 15lbs at 6mths now he is 35lbs-tall and skinny, my 3yr old(7.9 at birth) at 6mths was 13 1/2lbs now he is 33lbs-shorter and looks chubbier than older brother! my twins who just turned 6mths on the 5th (4.3 & 5lbs at birth) they havent had their 6mth checkup yet but at 4mths they were 14.11 & 14.7lbs as u can see l kids grew at different rates dont b consired if he is a little under on his weight he will catch up just keep on feeding him!

My son was 6lb 2oz at birth. At 5 months weighed 15lb 10oz and was 24 1/2 inches long. He is growing right along the 50th percentile and has maintained a constant growth rate.

My daughter is 6 months and weighs 18lbs! Huge! My son who is now 8 weighed 19lbs at 1 year old. So my point is...... they are all different. Even if they are siblings.

My little girl was 6lbs 6.9oz and she only weighs 13.12 and i have been concerned but the doc says I have nothing to worry about. She is 24 inches and I am thinking about changing docs but I just don't know yet . She is also 6 months old and she is doing everything that the doc says she should be doing but I am still very concerned..

My son has been going through tests to rule out any serious medical reason for his slow weight gain. But I think he's just a small baby, nothing more. He weighed 13 lbs. 1 oz. at his 5 & 1/2 month app. with his pediatrician. and I believe he was about 24 inches long. Anyway he was in the 50th percentile for height and below the bottom 3-5 percentile for weight. He's always been breastfed. Tried supplementing with formula but he didn't handle it well at all. Then the dietitian I took him to gave us alimentum (hypoallergenic formula) to try. I gave him some mixed with his regular rice cereal (because it smelled and tasted so gross he wouldn't take it any other way) one evening and he threw up (like actual projectile vomiting) for the first time soon after and 5 more times that evening, within a 2-3 hour period. That was the end of the formula. I switched from Nestle rice cereal which had some formula in it to another brand with no added formula or milk ingredients. He started gaining more with that twice a day, regular nursing, and introducing Gerber baby foods one at a time. I started with banana because that's what my mother did but I don't recommend it because although he loved it, after a few days he was badly constipated and crying lots in pain throughout the night. I tried gripe water and a couple ounces of regular water through a medicine dropper because he'll have nothing to do with bottles since the formula (he'd take BM in them before that but won't now). Finally I just started mixing prune baby food in his rice cereal and watering it down more and now he does fine. I guess pears are a food that is non-constipating so that's the other kind he's eating now. He's also tried sweet potato & peas. He feels a lot heavier to me and has finally outgrown most of the 0-3 month clothes and is wearing 3-6 months or 6 months sizes now. I would guess he's either 14+ to 15 lbs. but won't know for sure til his next app. which I'm scheduling today. Yesterday he went for a sweat test to check for cystic fibrosis (slow weight gain is the first sign so just to rule it out). He had blood tests last week to check his thyroid and such. Haven't got the results yet but I believe he's fine and just looking at the tests as a precaution.

He was 8 lbs. 4 oz. at birth but was 7 lbs. 4 oz when we were released from hospital 4 days later. It did take about a month for him to reach his birth weight again but it did or me as a baby as well. Zach's Dad & I are small people and his Dad's other son is also small (25 lbs at 2+ yrs old., 30 lbs. at 3 & 1/2 yrs old.) So I think it's genetic, But where he's breastfed they want to be sure he's getting enough and there's no underlying cause. Anyone else's Doc put their baby through tests because of slow weight gain? Most seem to say it's fine. He seems healthy, happy & very energetic.

My baby girl weighed 5lbs 12oz when born and she weighed 13lbs and 23 in long at her 4th appointment. I will let youi know more on Friday cause she will go in for her 6 month appointment.

My son is almost 6 months and at his last appt which was about 3 weeks ago he was 13 even. He is on the smaller side but the pedi doesnt seem worried. He does have issues spitting up but she said thats all thats wrong other wise he is very healthy.

I know I"ve been jumping for joy as we move slowly but surely out of newborn and 0 to 3 .....to 3 months...I'm hoping that 3 to 6 will fit soon...he's got tons of adorable outfits and I'm thinking it'll be summer and the outfits that I have will be inappropriate. I feel your struggle!

My son is also a peanut. My doctor had been concerned because his rate of growth was not well. It turned out he wasn't getting enough through being breastfed, so formula was added. At 5.5 months he weighed 12 lbs and 12oz but not sure of length...dr said it was ok because he had begun gaining weight properly.

Hayden was 7 lbs. 11 oz when he was born, and he was 22 inches. He was a very tall baby and in the 100th percentile. We just went to the doctor for his 6 month checkup and he weighed 18 lbs. 6 oz., and was 29.5 inches.

My daughter was 9lb 3oz born and at 5 months weighed in at 22lbs and was 68cm long. She is 6 months this week so i will be getting he weighed tomorrow, She has benn wearing 9-12 month clothes for over a month now!

I have a big boy! He was 9lbs 12oz at birth and on Dec 4th (he will be 6 months on the 10th) He weighed 17lbs 13oz. Not as big as my first who was over 20lbs at 6 months but bigger than his brother who was 16lbs 2oz at 6 months. Oh my first was 7lbs 13oz at birth and my 2nd was 9lbs 14oz at birth!

My daughter is 6 months old she weighs 14 1/2 lbs they say she's right where she is suppose to be. That's good to hear because mu oldest is 2 and since she was 2 months old they have been on my butt about her being over weight.

Dominik will also be 6 months on Dec11th. Today we just got his shots up to date and his height is 25.25" and weighs 16 lbs 8.4 oz. When he was born he was 6 lbs 13.8 oz.

hes about perfecty they say by 6 months they should be douyble there birthweight. my son is really big tho hes 27 in. and 18lbs. he will be 6 months on dec 11th/

Oh so nice to have a familiar story... I have friends with kids close to my sons age and they are sooo much bigger, even one who is younger. Austin is 26" and 15lbs now also 6 months. Doc says growth is fine. My daughter grew at a different pace, so its hard to compare.

my daughter just turned 6 months we go on the 21 first for her check up because she was sick and got her shots late at her four month check up. she is small she can fit 0-3 months clothes but i buy 3-6 because it wont be long she is getting fat

My daughter just turned 6 months on the 4th of December. At her 6 month checkup she weight 14 lbs 11 oz and was 25 inches. She is a petite baby compared to other babies I have seen and my doctor also said there is no concern. I get worried too sometimes, my girlfriend has a 2 month old son and he is 15 lbs!!

My daughter was 8lbs 13oz at birth. She won't be 6 months till the 20th & her appt is the 21st. I weighed her last week though when we went to have her ears checked for infection. She's 19lbs 6oz! Don't know about the height. We measured 26 in, but who knows how close to correct that is!

My first was 8lbs 6ozand a big boy like ur 3 yr old. My sec child is my daughter at birth she was 5lbs 2oz and she now weight 13lbs 6oz and 24 inch long and the docs say that is fine .
