7 months pregnant and was just in bad car accident.

I am 7 months pregnant and due June 22nd.

I got into a major car accident on friday. Of course I was wearing my seat belt, and the force really hurt my abdomen. I went to the emergency room. They took blood and did ultrasound and said everything was fine. I feel fine, but just have a sore belly thats bruised from the seatbelt. My question is, that ever since the crash, the baby has been moving a lot more. She always was active, but since then it seems to have doubled. I am planning to make an appointment with my regular Dr. this week. Any other advice or suggestions?

By the way, I didnt/don't have any bleeding or leaking or cramps etc.

Babies are pretty resilliant when it comes to things like that. I am so glad you and your little baby girl are doing well =)



I have about 56 more days left in this pregnancy and I know it can't get here any sooner!! I too am having a girl, I am due June 5th.

Thank you for that thoughtful comment.
I just got back from a follow up with my doctor today. Everything turned out fine thankfully. I just have some bruising left but this little girl is very healthy, happy and active.
I have another appointment later this month, but I'm pretty sure all is good.

First off, you and your baby are in my thoughts and prayers.



You might have just bruised your belly. They baby could just be responding to your pain. It is really good that she is still very active. I hope you see your doctor soon. Keep me updated =)
