My little guy is 7 months old, at least 25 pounds, and over 27 inches. Any other BIG guys out there? I'm starting to worry because he seems bigger than most 1 year olds that I see. My pediatrician says he's perfectly proportionate, but I can't help but wonder....

OMG! I have the same issue. He was 24 pounds last month and wears 24 month and 2T clothes. He is very healthy and Height weight proportionate too. His Twin sister is 17 pounds (average) and I feed them almost exactly the same. It really bugs me some of the comments I get, my mother in law thought I should put him on a diet. Give me a break he's not fat, he just grew fast. The sad thing is sometimes I look at him and wonder what happen to my little baby. He looks so much like a little boy. Be thankful you have a strong healthy baby. There are a lot worse problems out there.

Well my daughter is 8 months and going on 22 lbs. She is a big girl right at the 95 percentile. The doctor's say the same thing about my baby. That is a good thing I think.

YES my son is also 7 months and probably weighs 25 pounds and 29 inches. I have always worried in the beginning because he was born 10 pounds 2 ounces. I actually went to a doctor appointment one day and there was a lady who said her 9 month was 42 pounds. Now THAT was unbelievable to me. I just couldn't believe it. Anyways I've come to terms with my big baby... Chunkers are cuter anways=D!

I guess my 7 mos. old boy Gavin is small in comparison - only 17 pounds, BUT when his sister was his age she was 22 pounds. she was also very tall. She is 2 1/2 and now weighs 33 pounds and is 38 inches - very tall. I think they all level off eventually. plus, chunky babies are the cutest! I love the cheeks!

My son currently weighs about 20 lbs and 25 inches. He was born 11 weeks early and only weighed 3 lbs 10 ozs at birth. I didn't realize my breast milk was working so fast for him to catch up.

My 7 month old is 21lbs and 28inches. I wouldn't worry about their weight at this age because their always growing. Once they are on the move they will burn alot of it off. My brother was a big baby now he is as skinny as a rake, so having a big baby doesn't mean they are going to be big when they get older.

If your doctor says he's healthy then trust in his advice. :) My son was 28.5 inches at 6 months old, and about 18.5 lbs (tall and thin) and is soon to outgrow his 12 month pajamas. It's so amazing to me when I hold him how LONG he is. I can't believe he's only 7 months old! We have to switch to a bigger car seat soon and I didn't expect that until at least 9 months, but his daddy is 6'3" and I'm 5'8" and we both come from very tall families so I guess it shouldn't come as a shock. Isn't it fun having big, healthy boys? :) Your little man looks fabulous in your picture, congrats on having such a healthy baby!

lol My twins are huge everyone thinks they're about a year old and they're only nearly 7 months and this has been since they were 4 months!

They were both over 18lbs last month when they were weighed but they'd been ill then and were off their food so I reckon they're heavier than that cos babies lose weight so quickly. They were both about 50cm born so long babies anyway and their dad is 6ft 5 so they'll be way over my height when they hit their teens as I'm only 5ft 3!

Haven't measured their length in ages but they're both in 6-9 / 9-12 month old clothes (depending on where they're from so I'd say they're about 25-30 inches long.

This is not unusual, when it comes to the genes are baby gets. My 7 mnth old daughter is right at where your son is. I am 5'7" and medium build. Her dad is 6'5" and weighs 250. I have another daughter who will be 3 next month and she is tall and skinny. She was definately a lot smaller as a baby. Both of my daughter's are wearing a size 3T. So it is conveinent and well worth the money in that aspect, but people stare and make comments! I love my baby and sh eis perfectly healthy. My pediatrician recommended only 3 bottles a day, totalling 24 ounces and the rest of the day, she should be fed 3 times a day. I hope this helps you to know that you are not the only one with a big baby!!!You can request me as a friend if you like to be in my circle of friends. Take care and good luck, from one caring mom to the other! Tara

My little man is 20 pounds and 27 inches. his doctor says hes ok to and hes as big as his year and half old cousin. it does make u wonder but he is ok.

[deleted account]

Don't worry at all. He is big now but his growth will slow down. My son is not a big guy Just 29 inches and 18 pounds but he was born a month early. My friend son is 30.5 inches and is 22 pounds. Her son is starting to slow down now. I have heard of other moms having big boys upfront and theirs too have slowed down. Next time you go to your pedi. you will most likely see that he has slowed down. Also, if your family is full of tall people or just bigger people in general then it is no surprise your boy is a bit bigger. I wouldn't worry until your pedi says to. They are the professionals and want the best for your child. He is just growing a bit faster upfront and will soon slow down. I wish you and your lil man the best. God Bless.

Your son is 34 inches long at 2 days shy of 7 months? That is incredible. My goodness he is lean and super tall. I thought my friends was tall at 30.5 inches. I know they say that what they are now is no reflection of what they will be when they get older but I am just guessing that your family and the fathers family are all super tall.

my 7 month boy is 21 pounds and 28 inches long. we used to get comments when he was around 5 1/2 months that he looked big for his age... whatever that means. I never got mad and I think he looks "normal" At a dr appt my husband told my ped. that people said this and he said that we are lucky to have a "healthy" quiet baby rather then a skinny crier. I wouldn't worry.... if he is health and happy you're fine. My ped said you can't really overfeed a baby at this age.

I have a BIG BOY as well, he will be 7 months old on Jan.26th. He weighs 30 pounds and he is 29.5 inches. He's a breastfed baby, who have started pablum when he was 5 months. He is a a very energetic boy, he can sit up by himself, he's starting to push himself up when he's on his stomach. He's a juicy, rolly boy. ♥

my 7 month old is 23 lbs 5 oz and 27.5 inches long. i think as long as your lil big man is growing consistently together gradually you shouldn't worry. if he kept gaining but wasn't in length then i'd worry.... remember we all come in diff shapes and sizes. when he starts walking you'll see him slim quickly. ;)
