Both my sons were potty trained at 18 months. I had them rip around the house naked from the waist down and when they had to go they looked at me like, "Um... where do I go?" I put them on the seat and at first they were scared, but then after they relieved themselves and got rewarded, it began to sink in. It also helps to get excited when you have to go potty too and have them come in the bathroom with you. Let them reward you too so they know it's not just them that goes potty. We kept our potty seat in whatever room they were in at first then as they got better, had them walk to the bathroom. It took a couple of days to get the hang of it and by a week they were old pros. Good luck! :)

I tried three different times to potty train my daughter and it never worked. I always took her in to the bathroom with me though and pulled her potty chair out and told her if she wanted to be a big girl like mommy she could sit on her potty... She didn't care for the first few months then one day she just started going and never stopped. She completly potty trained even during sleep hours within two weeks.
My advice would be to just keep exposing them to the bathroom and the routine and they will when they are ready!!! Good luck!! :)

I sat my daughter on her potty one day and kept on sitting her on it all day. The next morning when i changed her diaper she wouldnt let me put another one on her, she ran over to her potty and peed. But ever since then she wont go on it again and has no interest in it.

Not only that, but try to keep to a schedule this way you are more aware of how often the are going to the potty so you can avoid many accidents. but make sure that they are ok with at least sitting on the potty ( no crying, fighting, etc). This should be a pleasant event for your child. hope this helps, I am potty training my youngest son as well.

The most important tip I can give you is 1. Don't pressure your toddler to potty train. 2. Follow his/her cues.
If your child is ready for potty train. Skp the pull-ups and have your child wear undies. Reward and praise your child when he/she pees and poos. I gave my girl M&Ms, one when she peed and two when she pooped in the potty. Best of luck!
