Anybody else have a 17.5lb baby!?

I get a lot of the same comments. My son was born just a day after yours at 8 lbs 13 oz and 21 inches. Just today he was at the dr. He weights 17 lbs 8oz and is 26 3/4 inches long. I think it's priceless to see the look I get when I tell ppl my son is only 4 months old when they guess he's 6 to 9 months. When I tell them my hubby is 6'5" they always understand why he's a big little guy. :o)

almost!!! my boy was born on the 19th and he is 16lbs!!! he is 27in long so i'm sure if he didn't have the length, he would be heavier!

My baby was born on the 3rd and she is now 18LBS and 25 inches long. So i wouldn't worry about it. My doctor was telling me that she was making her own curve but usually around 9 mos when they get more moble they will platue a little. I was wondering"well if thats the norm than why is the graph like that?" but oh well.

lol my lil boy isnt so little either, he was born June 26th weighed 7.5lbs and 20inches at birth at his 4month apt on oct 26th he was 17.14lbs and 26 3/4inches! hes in the 97th for height and 92nd for weight! everyone thinks he is around 8-9months not 4months lol

I actually took my son to the docs today and he is now 16lbs, he is also 5 months old now he was born june1st

My son was born June 22nd, and is a moose! He's 17+ lbs and very long! The nurse at his pedi office said he was in the 90th percentile.

My son is about the same. He was born June 29 and weighed 9lbs 14 oz now he weighs 18lbs 2oz at 18 weeks :)

My baby girl was 18 lbs 9 oz and 25 inches long when I took her for her four month check up. She was born on the 10th of June. She was 7lbs 6 oz and 20 inches at birth.

My daughter Samantha was born on 6-6 and last week she weighed in at 16.5 pounds and 25 inches long. I asked the doctor if she is gaining too much weight and he said not at all. She does weigh more than the average 4 month old but she is perfectly healthy. I get the same response from people that you do when I tell them that she is only 4 months old, well tomorrow will be 5 months, they can not believe it and tell me that she is so big. What people may not know is how big your baby was at birth. Sammie weighed 8lbs 3 ozs so she was not small at birth. As long as your baby is healthy and happy that is all that matters right now. Also once they really start moving more the weight gain will slow down too, at least that is what I have been told. I guess we shall see over the next couple of months! Best of Luck!

WOW! WELL LOOKS LIKE OUR BABIES WERE BORN ON THE SAME DAY! EXCEPT MY BABY IS ONLY UNDER 13 LBS.
