oh wow- congrats she must be brave! :) my son displayed tremendous interest on being on his feet @ 7months old, pro on the walker, we thought he would be walking by 8months, but now just seems to be content by gettin around crawling and pulling himself, standing gettin around furniture. Ive given him opportunties to walk but either he is nervous or has no desire as yet........goodluck!

my daughter's 9 1/2 months and she's not yet but my cousin's daughter was walking at 7 months already! She skipped crawling altogether! No one get discouraged though because my son was exactly one year old (his first birthday as a matter of fact) and I didn't do it until I was 17 months.

Our almost 9 month old now (2 days) started pulling herself up on stuff at 7 months. Basically, she crawled for 2 weeks, and then jumped to pulling herself up. She now cruises, and can take about 6-7 steps behind her push toy walker thing. Catelynn is hilarious though, because she has never liked to just fall, like most kids. She refuses to just butt plop. No, she slowly and gingerly lowers herself to the ground. This week she has been letting go of the furniture more and more and just standing there. She can lower herself from a stand to the floor with great balance. she is a very fast crawler though, and uses that to get around. As soon as she figures out walking is more efficient, we're doomed!

No walking yet, but she's a crawling pro, and likes to pull herself up. She'll be brave and let go sometimes, but that only lasts a few seconds before she plops down.

My boy is always on his feet, but you have to have eyes in the back of your head cause they are so fast he has started using objects/toys to act as a step up to the couch, nightmare! but cute!

My son is 8 1/2 months right now and my sister so graciously taught him how to pull himself up to standing at 6 months. He now can cruise along furniture but has to hold on or he pushes a lil grocery cart around. Oh the trouble they can get in now that they are mobile. Lol!

My daughter is an expert crawler and pulls herself up on everything. She usually keeps one hand on whatever she pulls up on but there has been a couple times where she completely let go and then sat down. When we stand her up holding on to her, she will try taking a step but usually sits right away or drops to her knees if we let go. Its so much fun! :)

My twin boys (born June 10th) are not walking yet, they are just starting to crawl, I don't want to rush them as that will mean I have two more to chase around the house. With three boys to chase I should be good and skinny come this summer

Nevaeh stood up by herself for the first time last night. She has been pulling up on furniture for a few months though. She has really improved on her balance and her falls are less often, less hard, and more on her bottom than her head now (THANK GOD). I think she will be walking soon but not yet. Daddy says not to rush it but I cant wait. Shes just improving so much every day, I love it. Enjoy and good luck now that she is walking.

My son is 8.5 months and is crawling, standing and cruising furniture. Not rushing the walking thing as I hear they are very shaky and accident prone when they walk less than a year and it is more nerve racking for mom than the crawling/standing/cruising stuff.

HI Lena, My son started walking about 4-5 steps at 8 1/2 months. He has the strength to walk but not the balance to master it yet so there are a few tumbles. It's considered early but not unusual (according to my midwife at the well baby clinic) A few of my friends have bubs that just turned a year old and they are not walking yet.
Isn't it just the cutest darn thing you've ever seen. Enjoy!!

Hey Sam, my baby was also born on June 2nd 2009. My daughter crawls everywhere and she's a fast one! Pulling herself to stand up and cruising on the furniture. Many times she holds my fingers (hands) to walk, but she's always afraid to let go.

That's so cool. Gloria isn't walking yet. She started furniture cruising today though. She won't really crawl either. She is army crawling and then she will get up on all fours and rocks then go back down to the belly. She is also going up steps.

my daughter is 9mths, and since about 7.5mths she has been able to walk along furniture. as of about 3 weeks ago she started walking with her walker and is a pro at it now. but she has not learnt how to pull herself up to stand, we have to stand her up on the furniture, walker etc. but as soon as shes standing she is off walking. I'm thinking in another 6-8 weeks she will be walking on her own.

My son took his first steps on his own a few days ago (I tricked him into it) but other than that he crawls to whatever it is that he wants and then plays standing next to it. He is still afraid to walk and stand without holding on to someone or something.
