My girl is about to turn 10 months and has started bum-shuffling everywhere instead of crawling. Anyone elses baby doing this too?
Has anyones bum-shuffling baby changed to crawling?
Out of interest do you have carpet or floorboards/tiles at home? We have floorboards and think that's why she didn't crawl.
I just really wish she would crawl!!

my daughter refused to crawl. her cousin started moving by rolling all around the house when she was like 7 months, then army crawling when she was like 8 months, and crawling when she was 9, and now shes almost walking. whereas my daughter would sit or lay on the floor and not move until you picked her up. then she started to bum shuffle about a month ago, and now shes doing a walk-crawl thing, where she'll have her one knee down and her one foot down and crawl like that. its a little weird, but she seems to be able to get around that way. dont worry about the not crawling though... some babies dont crawl and they just go from sitting around to pulling up and walking.
and i have carpet, but my mother-in-law (we spend a lot of time at her house) has hardwood.

I've got an army crawler on her elbows using her toes to propel her. My cousin's baby is a bum scooter and I think whatever gets them there is fine. They find a way to get where they want to go. Take lots of videos of that bum shuffle - I bet it's really funny and cute!

they will do it when they are ready. My son did kind of a halfway army crawl probably 2 months before he actually crawled. and you say you want her to crawl she will and she will be in to EVERYTHING.
