Hi ladies. My husband and I are both in the military and we've been stationed apart for the last year and a half almost so theres been no need for birth control. He is finally transfering to where i am stationed in June so i need to get on birth control asap! We already have one amazing 9 month old baby boy, no need for another just yet! i swear i have been on almost every birth control and have yet to find one i truely like. Right now i am leaning towards NUVARING but i dont know any women who have used it and would like a little feedback. so please if any of you have used it, currently use it, or know someone who has, any feed back would be greatly apprieciated!!!!! thanks! 8)

Please, ladies, don't use the Nuva Ring!! There have been multiple cases in which young women using it have gotten pulmonary embolisms (blood clots in the lungs) and died. A dear friend of mine was one of them.

I didn't like nuvaring, and won't try it again. I cried constantly (and I'm NOT normally an emotional person). My friends, who also tried it, found they had no sex drive on it (isn't that the point of birth control?) ;) I actually don't have anyone in my circle who had a good experience with it. But it affects us all differently. Give it a few months though before dismissing if you do decide to try. You can't really see what side effects will stick until about month 3.

I used the nuva ring before we got pregnant for almost 2 years and I had no problems with it. I can't remember to take a pill every day, so only having to worry about it once a month was nice for me. Are you breastfeeding? If so, you'll want to find a progesterone only form of birth control (depo provera or the mini pill) Any contraceptive with estrogen in it (like the nuva ring) will interfere with your milk supply. I've been on the depo shot since my son was born and I love that too. You only get it once every three months and I haven't had a period since. It does take a little longer to work out of your system though if you're planning on more kids anytime soon. If you're not nursing, then I say give the ring a try. If you don't like it, just take it out. It is a bit akward the first few times you put it in, but once it's in you don't even notice it.

I used nuvaring for a month and it gave me a few problems......1st it wouldnt stay in right (You know what I mean :) and 2nd it was like the hormones were too strong for me. I would get angry very easily and happy the next and then back and forth. I also gained weight very easiily. I was just not happy and then my husband was begging me to stop!! So now we just use plastic!
