My daughter who is 11 months old has been extremely whiny for the last couple of days. One thing I notice is that she keeps putting her finger on the right side of her mouth between the gums and she keeps chewing it. So, I'm pretty sure she's cutting back teeth. She has 8 front teeth (4 upper teeth and 4 bottom teeth) and as far as I remember, she never was this whiny before when she was cutting the other 8 teeth. It makes me feel so sad when she can't stop whining and I have been doing all I can to comfort her, it frustrates me sometimes :( did anyone ever experience this when your baby is cutting back teeth? Does it hurt babies more to cut the back teeth than the front teeth?

My daughter will be 11 mos on the Wednesday and she is cutting her molars. I had her ped look in her mouth the other day and she already broke 1 through and the other 3 are about in. The back teeth are waaaay worse. She would fuss here and there with her front teeth, but it was easily resolved. With the back teeth she cries A LOT! I've found that Motrin (Ibuprofen) works better than tylenol for the molars! It is hard to see her so upset and uncomfortable! I think the reason by the molars hurt worse is b/c they are bigger and kinda dull. not small and pointy like the front teeth.
