Do you send you child to a daycare or a private daycare. I just hear all the ugly stories about daycare and can't bring myself to letting our 10 month old attend daycare. We send him to a private daycare where she watches a few children around the same age as our son. What do you think or what are your experiences?

Nanny all the way. Wouldn't trade her for anything and she cooks and cleans as well. I had my first child in a DayHome in our neighbourhood. It worked out very well for her! Now, with 2 kids, it is more affordable to have a live-in nanny. My 4 year old loves staying home with her and much rather stay at home then go to the dayhome! "There's no place like home." There's a church in my town that has an academy for 6 weeks-5 years of age. Price is really good, and I feel more trustworthy knowing that they're good christian people watching my daughter. And I know they are doing a good job because when we walk in the door everyday, my daughter just laughs and smiles and will eve hold her arms out to go to her teachers (which she only does for me and my mom). Look into a church center (if you are okay with a little christ in your childs day, as they will be taught the bible)...

My son goes to daycare. I also had my concerns about sending my child to a public daycare. My husband and I did a lot of research before selecting a center. The daycare is near my husband's work so he checks on our son daily (at different times - to keep them on their toes). My son loves it there and they love him. I feel that we made the right choice.
