My daughter will be 7 months old tomorrow. She has been having solids along with expressed breast milk since 4 months. She has ALWAYS enjoyed them, but we have run into trouble. She is now refusing breakfast and lunch (she still loves her meat and veges and sometimes rice or pasta for dinner). She has maybe 2 teaspoons of lunch and breakfast and that's it; and I know she is still hungry. I feel she is getting bored these 2 meals. For breakfast she has one of the following - scrambled eggs, semolina with mashed fruit, weetbix with mashed fruit or porridge with mashed fruit, and she usually then has a bit of toast with vegemite. For lunch, she has one of the following natural yoghurt with fruit mas/puree, or soft fruit cut up into small chunks, custard, or rice pudding. She is able to chew small chunks of fruits and veges as well as toast and bread (but I don't feel she could tackle a sandwich yet). I am wondering if anyone else has any suggestions for breakfast and lunch?

Quoting Naomi:

don't have expereince myself, I've read a lot though ;P. but have you tried giving her veggies at lunch or even breakfast? if she likes them at dinner, try another time! maybe she's liking her savoury food right now. from what I've read, babies and toddlers have wierd food jags, it happens and you should try not to make it a big deal. she won't allow herself to starve. keep trying but dont make food a battle. good luck!

I don't make it a battle, it's just I know she is bored with her food, so I just want to make it a little interesting.  And while I do think she is over sweet stuff, I also feel she needs more textured foods, but she still can't handle big chunks so I am at a loss?  I have tried veges at breakfast and lunch, but she won't take them at breakfast and rarely takes them at lunch.  Thanks anyway :)
