I just had my 27 th week appointment and I am measuring at 33 weeks! Last month I was only 1 cm above my actual date. So in the last 4 weeks my uterus has grown 5 cm more than it should have. My midwife believes I have excessive fluid, polyhydramnios. I am worried. This is my third baby and nothing like this has happened previously. I have an ultrasound scheduled for next week. So hopefully things make make more sense then. There were no neural tube problems or anything on my 20 week U/S. Never look on-line. I became more worried once I read all the medical reasons that may accompany polyhydramnios.

Does anyone have any experience with polyhydramnios? Am I worrying too much?

I know that It could mean then the baby might have certian defect but that is rarely the case. The one thing that they do worry about is when your water does brake and delivery. Most things can be detected with ultrasound. You could always get a level two ultrasound that would be able to see the baby better. These are things that you can not change so why stress your self and the baby

I've not had that problem before, but i'm on my 3rd pregnancy and at 20 weeks they told me I had placenta previa and  a 2 vessel umbilicle cord. Of course she didn't want us to look that up online either, but we did and I agree it does make it sound more scarier.

Good Luck!!
