I am looking for some ideas on developmental activities my son and I can do together. He turned one on June 26 and lately seems really bored with his toys. So I have a feeling he needs more stimulation so if anyone has any ideas I welcome them

Get a big box and watch how many times he pops out of it to scare you. Take him to the park and let him run! Get him out of the house, especially when its such great weather.

My son loves to roll a ball or throw a ball back and forth. He also likes to "brush" his hair while I put his sister's hair in a ponytail. He likes to draw with others or alone. Taking things out/putting things into anything top his list of favorite things to do. He also likes to crawl into cardboard boxes! Oh, and play musical instruments, especially the drum and xylohone. And talk on pretend phones. And cook. And i think I'm getting into more playing alone things.... When he gets bored with his own little kitchen toys I give him a big pot or pan and wooden spoons or measuring spoons. Tupperware is great for them too, esp with lids! Just give him a safe environment to explore in, and perhaps rotate toys out every once in awhile to spice things up a bit. Have fun!!!

Have you taken him to the zoo or a local farm with animals? My son loves seeing new animals and getting to pet them.
