mine is only about 15.5 lbs and was referred to a pediatrician but the dr wasn't too worried about my little girl. she just recommended adding higher fat foods to her diet like higher fat yogurt and cheese (i was giving her part-skim cheese before) and adding meats to her diet as well. when they start getting really active, it's normal for them to lose some interest in eating, so hopefully he will gain more weight soon but it sounds like he isn't doing that bad!

My daughter is actually big for her age, but you can't force a baby to eat if he's not hungry. The only thing I can think of is to get the off brand formulas. My doctor said they have more fat than name brand formulas. If he has no medical issues, I wouldn't worry too much.

Well, my little one weighed 6lb 2oz at birth and a couple of weeks ago she only weighed 17lbs. She eats only about 4-5 6oz bottles a day and eats only two or three solid meals a day, sometimes snacks in between and juice throughout the day. The doctor has never said she is too little. He said as long as she follows a good curve it's fine. Your baby has been gaining weight since he was born, sounds like he is just petite like my little one. I wouldn't worry!

My daughter was born small, the dr's kept telling me she was too small in the womb and would have to induce me. I was told if i went full term she wouldnt even be 6lb. I went into labour naturally 2 weeks early and she was 6lb 6oz. she was born on the 10% and is now on the 65% at 8.5 months. The dr's said she did a great job to be able to catch up so quickly. I feed her 4-5 150ml bottles of formula per day and 3 solids meals and 1 snack per day. I never feed her jar baby foods and make everything fresh. She has been eating everything we eat since 6.5 months and is gaining weight really well. I've listed below the things we started her on and also what we give her now to give you some tips :)
For breakfast she usually has:
farex, weet bix, toast, pancakes or scrambled eggs
Lunch is fruit, or fruit and yoghurt:
kiwi fruit, water melon, rock melon, peaches, strawberries, apples, pears, banana, nectrines, oranges, mangos and avacados.
Dinner veg include:
sweet potato, potatoe, pumpkin, squash, beans, peas, spinach, broccoli, cauilflower, chokos, zucchini and carrots.
I only puree (magic bullet) apples and pears as she doesnt like them cooked. The rest I just mash with either a fork or potato masher.
But now that she is eating our food she has, chicken fettuccine, apricot chicken, roast with roast veg, pork on the bbq, lamb loin chops and veg, meatloaf, spag bowl, rissoles basically whatever we are having for dinner. I dont puree her meat just hand it to her and she feeds herself. Babies have one of the best gag reflexes so generally if they swallow something too big they will bring it back up quite easily. Also for snacks if she is hungry through the day, i give her biscuits, yoghurt, toast or custard. A lot of the fruits and vegetables i give to her to fed herself as with the meats.
Hope this helps a little :)

I have twin boys one is 19p 7oz the other is 16p 7oz. They 4 bottles a day with three meals a day so they boy eat the same. they r both content babies. I was told to feed the little one more bottles but I feel if they are eating well, sleeping well and are content they must be doing alright. some babies arent as big as others, they will let you know if they are hungry or if they are not getting enough. relax sound like you are doing things right.
