Meiah was 12lbs 25inches at 4 months old. Not surprising the Dr's say, because I am not or never been big, and I am short. DH is really slim...I just have slim kids.

Is he Breastfed? They usually tend to weigh more :) My 4month old is 15 1/2 lbs. As long as he seems healthy weight shouldn;t be a problem. Just make sure you are going to your pediatrican regularly

My baby girl was 7.2 at birth and at 4 1/2 mos was 18 lbs but also almost 26 inches long. She's a big healthy girl. I think all babies grow at different rates.

My son was 13.12 at his 4 month checkup. My dr said they should double their birth weight between 4 and 5 months. But all babies grow differently!

Cayden was 14.5 pounds at 4 months and 26 inches long. She was 8 lb. 12 oz at birth but gained weight slowly after a bout with ruflux.

I think we all worry about our babies weight....my son only weighed 12lbs exactly! And he weighed almost 7 when he was born so every baby is just diofferent but dont forget when ur son starts crawling and walking and running........those pounds r gunna shed right off! :)

Wow! My baby girl was 12 pounds even at her 4 month appt, and now (at 5 months) she is about 14 pounds. She started out really small though (at 5 lbs 3.2 oz) and was having problems nursing/gaining weight in the first few weeks. After the problems were resolved, she's been gaining around half a pound most weeks.

my boy is about 17 pounds, he was 9lbs when he was born so he has never been little. Babies grow at diffrent rates. I wouldnt sweat it!
