I was just at my pediatrician's, and she suggested a multi vitamin to make sure Elizabeth is getting enough iron, and floride for her teeth. How much iron is a 7 month old supposed to get? She eats rice and one other fruit or veg a day. Also, anyone have any good suggestions of a multi vitamin, and/or where I can get them?

i dont give my daughter vitamins. when she was little i gave them to her and they hurt her stomach...bad. they thought she had colic and i couldnt sleep ever. i stopped giving them to her and she was fine. i used trivisol with iron, and my cousin is a pharmacist and said to try with out iron. As long as you give them enough from food i dont see why you need added. there have been many studies done that say supplements dont do anything positive. formula and breastmilk have all the vitamins added anyway.

I use trivesol liquid vitamins. It has 100% of what she needs daily, except I think Vitamin D. I think they only do 60% of that, but you can check on the back of the box. It's available at any drug store, babies r us, etc. If you go to drugstore.com you can look at the side of the box...it'll tell you how much of everything our babies need.
