How much is your baby eating Formula and baby food?

my daughter has 8am 7oz bottle 10am weetabix made with formula 1230pm lunch then 7 ozbottle at 2pm tea and pudding at 6pm bedtime 7 oz bottle at 8-9pm just dilute juice from sippy cup rest of time hun

At 6mo I did start my son, Roanan, on table food, but he still nurses more than eats food, he may go a day or two without table food. He is 9mo now.



As long as he is not losing any weight he should be fine.

My daughter eats about the same she eats about 4-5 6oz bottles (she sometimes doesn't finish) and two to three solid meals a day depending on what she eats. Seems about normal to me.

my son has a 7oz bottle with breakfast. juice and a yoghurt with his dinner. tea with a 7oz bottle. and a final 7oz bottle before bed time.

my 8month old little man is rubbish with drinking he takes 7oz of formula in the morning and before bed at night but getting in any kind of fluid during the day is a battle i have given in and am given baby juice via a bottle hich i hate. i get 4oz of formula in with porridge and use fruit for fluids. stressful! any suggestions, he is a happy healty good size boy though?

My son was born 15th June. He has 3-4 bottles a day & 3 solid feeds. He has porridge and fruit for breakfast, meat and vegetables for lunch & yoghurt or custard for a snack.

Every baby is different and will eat as much as they actually need. Just as every adult eats different amounts, babies do too. I used to worry about the same. Babies will never starve themselves. If he is eating 4oz of formula and 2 of the stage 2 jar a day, that is ok. My daughter eats the same. I know other babies her age who eat 3x 4x more than my daughter. So dont try to over-feed because that teaches them to keep on eating after there "I-am-full-sign". As long as he is gaining wait, there is nothing to worry about. Some days my daughter will eat more, others just a little, and that is perfectly normal.

My daughter has 4-5 120ml-150ml bottles per day and 3 solid meals per day. Usually 4-5 heaped tablespoons each time, sometimes 6. She is a little piggy though :) She will be 8 months next week

my 7 1/2 month old daughter eats almost exactly that, sometimes she'll eat 6 bottles, but the more bottles i give her then chances are she wont finish them. i was a little worried about a month ago when she wanted more food and less milk, but shes still groing well and developing properly, so i guess shes getting all she needs. sounds like your son is healthy.

My boy is having 500-650ml formula each day split between 4 bottles (210, 90, 180, 150ml) and doesn't often finish them. All the books say they need a minimum of 600ml per day. Our GP wasn't worried that he is getting much less then that at the moment (approx 400ml) and said he has plently of baby fat to last for a few weeks with less food.

My boy also eats 3 solid meals (approx 0.5cup) and the maternal health nurse said that this should increase to 1cup by 12mths
