my baby patti who's turning 7mon this coming Feb. 16, 2010 just watch the morning news every now and then when the tv's on, and even familiar with some tv ads she like, cause she would stop doing what she's doing and focus on the screen while smiling and kicking at the same time, as early as now she also love to watch dora the explorer esp. the crystal kingdom episode, and barney as well...

I have it on alot, but she almost never "watches" it. About once a month I will put on the baby einstein for her, but she quickly looses interest. Im trying to keep the tv off more, I dont think its good for a baby at all. I think it can support ADHD behavior, which is on both sides of the family, so its a bit of a concern.

My son is 7 months old, and I never set him in front of the TV. I am either playing with him, teaching him colors, shapes, taking him for walks, and going to the park. I also have the luxury of being a stay at home mom.

My son may see some when his sister watches a show here and there, but he does not watch any himself and we do not have it on all the time. Studies have shown that the background noise can impede language development.

i was also very worried abt it as my friend has not tv at all and she was saying to me i should't put it on 4 my daughter at all i should just play with her......well i appreciate her opinion,BUT all my daughter ever watch on tv is singing she is not that interested in it but when ever i leave her in living room and just go put washing on or making her food ex it keeps her company so it's like i never left i think is great "baby sitter when u need to do something also my daughter is only 7 months so when we play with toys or whatever she gets bored eventually so i had to do different thinks to keep her happy
if your baby likes it why no i am sure u don't leave him all day in front of it but hey we need break too no one is perfect

My daughter is 7.5 months and I think she has watched the wiggle twice for 10 minutes each time. I never have the TV on, it drives me nuts. When she did watch it, she lost interest very quickly so I don't bother.

I'm the type of person who likes having the tv on almost all the time. My daughter never actually focuses on the tv for more than 10 seconds unless I put her in her high chair in front of the tv & put a video in for her. She watches 30 minutes of tv every few days.

My lil one catches a few minutes here and there because my older son is watching.... but I have been told by my pediatrician that they don't recommend tv for children under two.

I leave treehouse on for my 6 month old all day, not that she sets their and watches it all day. most of the time she on the floor playing with toys, or in her exersaucer, or her jumparoo so she really only watches like an hour or more a day, i just leave it on for her cause their is alot of singing and stuff on that channel and she loves to hear people sing.

When I am at home during the day I usually have the tv on most of the time usually on the kiddie channel (ABC) with programs like seasame street, playschool etc.. My 7 month old has his own playroom so I move him from that into the lounge on a couple of occasions during the day.. He sometimes watches the tv when he is in the lounge but usually focuses on his toys. He might get an hour of tv viewing a day or sometimes a little bit more.. How much is too much tv at this age? He only watches the kiddie channel as I thought if he is going to watch some tv better it be educational..
