ok, really thinkin that "da-da" may be the first official word to part my son's lips; whn he see's his daddy his eye's lit up and a burst of energy is noticed- UGH! i'm so jealous! with "mommy" being his first word i will be reassured that he's gonna be a "mommy's boy"!

Just remember this - although "da-da" may be his first word, when he doesn't feel good, or has a boo-boo, only mommy's kiss and hug can bring comfort! And when he says "da-da" at first he doesn't put it to a person, it is just a cool noise he can do! and it comes out more like "da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da..." LOL!

da da is much easier for them to say my son said da da around 5 months i think then at 6 months he said ma ma but he still has no idea who's who they just babble on i dont see it as who they look up to more , just learning how to say words
