We're having a cook-out shindig at a farm for my daughters 1st bday. She LOVES animals, so it's perfect!

At home with all the family there to cheer them on! My sister always does a HUGE shindig for the first birthday, but they aren't going to remember it at all - save your money for big parties when they are 5 or 6 and in school and want to have lots of friends there too. Also, sometimes all the attention is a little overwhelming and they end up crying through the whole party when they are 1 or 2! Just have fun, keep it casual and enjoy them, they grow SO FAST!

We're probably just gonna do a family barbecue, nothing huge. The first and second birthdays are really the only ones where you can get away with keeping it small cuz they don't really remember lol.
