Maternity Pants

I have purchased a pair of maternity jeans from Target but they roll down and end up squeezing me in the belly a bit more than I'd like. Being that I don't want to spend a lot on jeans that I will only wear for a few months, what brand (and style) of jeans have worked for you?

I HATE Target Maternity pants - they always fall down! Motherhood jeans/pants are the best. I live in Western NY (Buffalo) and we have a Motherhood Department in Macy's.

I bought a pair at Sears that I like a lot. They have the full panel that pulls up over my belly and they fit really well, though I do fold it down. I'm short! I do have to pull up the pants a little bit at times, but I'm also not really filling out the belly band piece. So, that could be part of it.

But Aimee B mentioned the Belly Bands at Target. And I love them! I'm 27 weeks and still wearing my pre-pregnancy pants with those belly bands and have saved a fortune on maternity clothes. If you can still get away with some items from your regular wardrobe you might want to give those a shot.

Quoting Naomi:

I have 3 pairs i LOVE, from Motherhood maternity.. i'm in canada though, so i'm not sure if that will work for you. But they are SUPER comfy, look like regular work pants or jeans but feel like sweat pants. They have what they call a 'secret fit' belly, so the elastic pulls all the way up the tummy, and so far, so good... well, my thickest pair of jeans sometimes go a bit low, cus they are heavy i guess, the lighter wieght materials work best. But even still, better than being pinched by the 'below the belly' type which I also have and.. are NOT my favorite :)

I agree! I live in Vancouver, BC. I just popped in to Motherhood the other day, and tried on a few pairs of pants.. They fit awesome! Ive tried many other stores, even in the U.S , but none have seemed to fit me except for the pair i bought at motherhood.

Another store you may want to try is "Thyme Maternity", it's a bit on the expensive side; but soo worth it.. They have so many cute tops and pants that fit great. :) :)

I wear some of my larger sized pre-pregnancy jeans unbuttoned or with the rubber-band loophole trick. Also, elastic leggings look cute under long shirts. The most comfy thing to wear for me though is a sundress. It's nice and cool and there's nothing constricting my belly or waist. I actually hate maternity clothes in general!

I am carrying too high for maternity pants, if you can try the low rise jeans, that is the only thing that works for me, other then "lazy" pants.

I found a pair that hit mid belly at JC Penny that didn't roll down like my target ones, but they fall down like crazy. They're comfy at least! But I needed at least one pair of nice pants so I went to Motherhood Maternity and LOVE the pants that have the panel that goes over the whole belly. Stays up better and comfy. I should have just gone there first!

The below the belly type either ride too high or fall off my butt.  I really like the full panel pair I got from Motherhood Maternity.

The panel comes all the way up over the belly, so there's no binding across, and they generally stay up better than other ones I have.  Plus, they carry them in 'Long" now!!

None of them work...they all fall down!!  sorry, I realize that's not helpful but this is my second I i've yet to find some that i'm not hiking up all the time.

I have always worn the type that sit under your belly...if you find some like that but still want something to cover your belly try the belly bands (they sell them at Target)
