My little girl is 10 days shy of seven months old. She hates tummy time and always has. I've tried getting on the floor with her, putting toys in front of her, putting her on my chest etc... How can I make tummy time more interesting?

My daughter was exactly the same - extremely frustrated at tummy time & I swear it was because she couldn't understand why she wasn't moving. Now she is just about crawling & she 'tolerates' tummy time a little more, but not for long! I wouldn't worry about it at all!

My 6 month old is the same way. Does not want tummy time at all wants to be sitting up all the time. But my other 2 daughters were the same way they kinda skipped crawling and went straight to walking so I'm not that concerned. I still make her do a little tummy time here and there but only in very short amounts cause she gets very irritated with it. She is getting up in stance to crawl but just doesn't go anywhere so even though she doesn't get a lot of tummy time it doesn't seem to be affecting her developement.

my daughter is the same...she wants to sit up...none of this baby stuff....I'm worried about her not crawling since she won't stay on her tummy....but she is really strong...and I guess that is what counts

So did my son but i just kept pushin it i felt mean but i thought it just had to be done, he would be crying i would just lay there with him and try play etc until he fully cracked it. i tryed a rolled up towel or blanket under his chest at first. Now he will only sleep on his belly he loves it, he never used to self settle either but now he will soon as i put him on his belly so i had a complete change around, good luck :-)

My friends little boy was exactly the same, he just prefered to sit up. Then he just rocked from sitting to crawling, no tummy time at all!
