I was wondering where others mom's are at with getting back into shape now that your child is 1 years old. Are you back into your prenatal clothes? What part of your body is still not the same? Do you plan on getting fully back into shape before having the next baby?

i only gained 10 lbs during my pregnancy......due to a restricted diet. i had gestational diabetes. i am back to normal and i feel i am even better than pre baby. i work out 5-6 days a week with medium to heavy weights and i do high and low impact step cardio. i also eat mostly whole natural foods. this is my last baby. i also have a 10 year old.

my daughter is now 13 months old and only weigh 10 poounds less than when i had her and 20 pounds more than what i was when i got pregnant. i weight about 152 now but everyone says i look like im around 130 135 so that makes me happy but knowing i weigh what i do doesnt help. i want to work out but i havent been able to fit it into my schedule yet but i will. i used to do the flirty girl fitness and it really does work but i need to start doing it again and get toned and hopefully loose those last 20 pounds

I am smaller now than I was when I got pregnant. I was 92kilos when I got pregnant and now I am 88kilos. I did go down to 86kilos and I wore my pre pregnancy clothes home from the hospital. I only gained 9 kilos while I was pregnant. When my baby was born he weighed2.6kilos.

I weighed 174 lbs pre-pregnancy. Even though I ate a lot while prego I only gained 15 lbs (189 lbs right before giving birth). In June 2009 I had a 7 lb, 6 oz baby girl and by the time I went back to work on August 3rd I was 172 (less then my pre-prego weight). However, probably due to the stress of being a single mom with a full time job...in the past 11 months since returning to work I have gained 11 lbs and now weigh 183 lbs.

I never got big anywhere but the waist. I've lost most of it, at least my old jeans fit, but more snuggly. Also, I cannot seem to get rid of the flabby belly. eek.

I didn't have that whole year to get my tummy back because I got pregnant with my 3rd, who is now 1 month. Yes I'm back into my prenatal clothes and I'm going to hold off having another baby for at least 2 years.

Gained 37 lbs while pregnant, lost 40 lbs in abt 10 weeks. I had a c-section, so I still have the scar, that will never change. I have some loose skin, but nothing terrible. I really can't complain. I exercised everyday while pregnant, so I think that helped alot.

I still have my belly, I'm small everywhere else. It's not big but I don't want it there at all. I weighed 200lbs on delivery day. I am down to 150lbs now. I would like to lose 10 or 15 more lbs. My son is 1yrs old and 2 weeks. I am walking & swimming 3 times a week. It help, I love to eat though. :)

I didn't gain much during pregnancy (17lbs), I was very sick the whole time. And I was back to my pre-pregnancy(123lbs) weight 7 days after I had my little girl. By 2 months after I was, not to sound conceded, looking GREAT. Then I got an IUD put in and started to gain weight rapidly, 3 lbs a week. I started exercising 3 times a week, intense classes, and it wasn't doing anything. I I have plateaued at 130lbs. I can't stand it. And my stomach and thighs are just not attractive, I really think it has ALOT to do with the IUD. Anyone else have a similar situation?

After a year I am almost to my pre- baby weight. One more dress size to go. Slow and stead wins the race I guess. But sad to say I had a previous abdominal surgery before my c-section that has left me lop sided for life so I will never be back into a bikini ever again. Oh well I will always enjoy my baby no matter what happens to me.

Well, I left the hospital (two days after having Alex) only 5 pounds heavier than my pre pregnancy weight. So I was very lucky and was back in my pre pregnancy clothes after just a couple weeks, although I wore some of the smaller maternity clothes for comfort while everything continued to heal. I have to say, Nursing was the best and biggest help I think, I felt like I ate whatever I wanted (healthy of course, but more than my usual diet) and the weight just came off. I hit the gym a couple times a week after 6 weeks and just went for stroller walks when I couldn't. And just a few months later I was pregnant again, so now I am 8 months pregnant and am on the same gaining trend, up about 23 pounds now. Last time I topped out at +27 lbs.
It is really a matter of diet, eat yummy, delicious healthy foods and avoid the fast food. Go for lots of walks, especially if you don't have time for the gym, and you can take baby, the pushing in the stoller makes it just a bit more challenging. Yes and Yes, but my boobs are bigger, of course I am quite pregnant again, but if they never go completely back down, that would be ok with me too! :-)

not even close. I weighed 130 when I got pregnant and gained gulp 80 pounds! I lost 40 right after he was born, lost another 20 at the beginning of the year using weight watchers online, but have gained most of that 20 back. Stressful working 2 jobs, taking care of the baby, and where we live there are rattlesnakes so I can't walk everyday! We live about 45 minutes from a grocery store, so it's hard to9 get to town after work and still get son picked up from daycare. Plan on hitting it hard again in September and getting some of the weight off so I can feel good about myself again.

I have two little ones, and with both, I lost the weight after about six weeks, but no exercise and poor diet made me put weight back on after that. My youngest has just turned one, and I am now thinking that I need to take care of myself more. My kids eat healthy enough, I just snack to much after they're in bed. Don't know how much I weigh at the moment cos it's too scarey!!

I am lucky, I lost the weight in less than 6 weeks. Lighter now than before my baby. Trying dersperately to put on weight if anything. I have never been a big woman, however I did carry a very big baby for me. I didn't get stretch marks thankfully, but I feel the skin on my tummy is less toned now. My belly button is now an 'outy", and my breasts shrunk 2 sizes post breastfeeding! I would do it all over again for my little girl...

It took some work but I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight before I had any of my eight kids and I had put on weight that I couldn't lose with most of them. I workout pretty much everyday and am more aware of what I am putting in my body. Still have a little flabby tummy, but that is SLOWLY going away each workout. So just find a good dvd and have at it. I do it more for the mental aspect since it has helped me with my stress levels and reduced my migraines, plus I do have more motivation and energy. And it will keep you around longer for your children!! My last two are only 16 months apart too!

I am 5 lbs heavier then I was before I got pregnant but I was only 117 lbs. So I actually dont mind the extra pounds. I Just want to start going to the gym to tone up and loose the love handles. I am one size bigger then before but thats ok, I gained 46 lbs with this pregnancy so I am going to enjoy my body before baby number 2! The part that will never change are my boobs. Pregnancy deff took a toll on those!

It took me a few months to get back to pre-preggo weight, and I think breast-feeding really helped with that. Like some of the other ladies have said, I sure don't look anything like I used to though! The weight has definitely been redistributed. I fit most of my old clothes, but a lot of my tops are short on me! During the last couple months of pregnancy my rib cage expanded to accommodate room for baby, and it has stayed that way! I think it is a good idea to be back at a healthy weight before conceiving again.

I was back in my prenatal clothes within a couple of weeks of giving birth. HOWEVER, my body does NOT look the same (in or out of the clothes)! Yeah they fit, but not as nicely as they used too. I'm currently following a weight lifting program and training for a half marathon to try to get myself back into some kind of shape. But the belly flubber is proving to be tricky (and I only gained 28 pounds while pregnant and lost it all within a couple of weeks...but that weight is sure rearranged in new ways)!

I was 100lbs pre baby ( not healthy)
the day I gave birth I weighed 173lbs ( I ate like OCTOMOM)
Now I weigh 133lbs (13 months later)
Ideally Id love to lose 10 more lbs, but I am so tired chasing him around and when would I even have time to work out, so really Im not that focused on it, just wish it would magically happen LOL
My tummy is my only concern, if I push out I could pass for prego
We are actively trying right now too, so really what is the point in my eyes. But when I do get prego, I am going to be smart and not eat all day long, and eat healthy and after Im going to work on getting back into shape

I had my 2 children 10 months apart so didn't really give my body a chance to get back to normal before falling pregnant again (fell pregnant 4 weeks after giving birth).
I put on roughly 25kgs (55 pounds) with each of them. I was a size 8-10 (Australian) which I think is about a size 6-8 American? My youngest is now 13 months and I am NEARLY back to normal lol. I have about 4kgs to go (8.8 pounds). My stomach is huge still and I still look 4 months pregnant. I walk EVERY single day with the double pram lugging about 50kgs of weight up and down hills. It's just my belly that I can't shift. I don't like my body at the moment and it depresses me looking at myself in the mirror. I use to be really fit and I use to be very happy with my body, now I don't even feel like making love because I feel disgusting. My husband has a fantastic body and I feel ashamed when I am naked. I hate it.

I wish! I was underweight before pregnancy and gained 50lbs during pregnancy. I'm left with 18lbs... but I want to loose only 5lbs. I don't think the weight bothers me as they are normal. I'm able to wear some of my tops but none of my pants/skrits fit. I hate that. I have the jelly C-section belly and that's my fault. I was hoping that it will magically disappear but nah! it didn't. I'm planning to start some crunches and then some weights(my hands have all the extra pounds). Next time, for sure I will watch my diet when i'm pregnant.

I am back in to most of my clothes and now have to get in shape! That's the tough part with 4 kids, finding some time but I will do it, lol! I was always back in shape before the next pregnancy but I had 2 1/2 yrs, 4 yrs., and 2 yrs. between babies. Now I have the rest of my life to get in shape! :)

I am still struggling with the baby weight even though my daughter is now 13 months old. I lost about 23 pounds but I am still halfway from my prenatal weight (about 20lbs to go) which is kinda frustrating. I had lost motivation to go back to the gym since Ava just made it impossible because she hated the daycare and the idea of being away from me. Right now she is having a separation anxiety. I am starting to think that it may be the best option for me to wake up very early so I could hit the gym while she and my husband are still sleeping. I could check that out for the day and I wouldnt worry about it later on. But the problem is that I have no energy for it. The part of my belly that really bothers me is my belly, obviously. I feel that I still look a bit pregnant but my belly really stretched that much- Ava was sure a big baby for my petite body. I definitely want to get back into shape before trying for the next child but I just hope that it wont be too long before trying one because I want Ava to have a sibling close to her age. So we will see abt it.

I've finally started to drop weight it took a year and no matter what I did during her first year the weight wouldnt budge. But lately it's just been falling off. Last moonth I lost 11 lbs I think I've fianlly got my metabolism back or maybe I'm finally done healing from the c section. Either way I'm happy still have about 15 lbs to lose and I have the nasty belly with loose skin. A couple of things I've found that help are Avons cellulite cream and their firming cream. They also have great ones for stretch marks!

I'm still carrying about half a stone more than before pregnancy but have found that my stomach muscles have just not recovered yet despite exercises to help. Have found the Erin O'Brien complete pregnancy exercise DVD good though as she is really thorough in working through how to correct all the bad habits our bodies got in to during pregnancy. Hoping that I'll be almost back to normal before number two. I think trying to stay in shape though is so difficult as even though I am super active all day running after a toddler, I really miss my runs or aerobic classes. Hoping to sort time to do it over the next few months.

I really wish i was. I had my first child 3 years ago and when he was just a little over a year, i got pregnant again. I wasn't down to my pre-pregnancy weight with my first one before I got pregnant again, so now its like i have to loose double the weight to back down to my pre-pre-pregnancy weight. And with 2 c-sections, i have a lot of loose skin that i know probably will never go away. but as long as i am happy with myself its all that matters. which i am not happy, i am going to do somehting about it. i have been wathching that loosing it with Jillian show, and if those people can do it, i can do it it. i just need loose 20lbs to be back to where i was before i ever go preggo, and i was still overweight then too, so probably 40lbs would be good. I just wish my husband would get on board with loosing weight and eating healthier so I could have some support. oh well. and yes, i am deff, loosing those 40lbs before i even think about having another baby. Want to loose more but I am starting with 20lbs, then I will do another 20.

I am 15lbs lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight, but I was 10lbs overweight when I got pregnant. I tried to exercise each day but I think that breastfeeding was the key for me - at the 5 month mark I started losing 5lbs a week! Up until then the scale did not budge though and it was discouraging.

I do however still have a bit of a tummy - it sure doesn't want to go away! My favorite product is the Amon Forgive Bodyshaper for a light hold. I wear mine a lot and bought it at www.mabelshop.com for $24 and free shipping.

not even close to my pre-preggo weight...but really i'm the only one to blame for that. me and dbf don't always eat the healthiest. we dont eat alot of fast food, we just eat out alot at other places. either way though it's not good for us. i dont really exercise either, besides the 1hr walk we go for every night, which is a start but defiantely not enough to make me shed these pounds. I was 160lbs pre pregnancy, i gained 47lbs with my daughter(was 207lbs the day i delivered)...yes i know WOW haha. and now 13mths after having her, I weigh 180lbs. Still 20lbs to go to get to where i was, but ideally I'd love to get down to 140-150lbs before we have another baby. which is totally do-able considering we are not having another one until she is at least 3.
