i'm a single mother and i work at night, my 19month old will take his nap with no problem, fall asleep for bedtime with no problem, but then he'll wake up in the middle of the night. and i've tried to put him back in his crib, but then he'll wake up again and i'm so tired myself that i just give in and have him sleep in my bed with me. any suggestions?

I had to let my little one cry it out too. since she was born until she was 14 months she slept with me, but she would wake up constantly and want to nurse (for comfort) during the night. we tried everything we could by crying it out was the only thing that would work. You'll cry too at first but eventually he will learn to self sooth and both of ya will get the sleep ya need. It sucks but sometimes being a mom is letting your lil guy learn the hard way

I know this may sound terrible but have you tried letting hime cry? Or what I did with my daughter was when she starts crying if she's sitting up in the cot or standing I just lie her back down say nothing to her & after a few mins she goes back to sleep. I understand you're sleep deprived but if you just gave it a couple of nights of just ignoring him it might benefit you in the long run. I know it's hard believe me i know i did with my daughter and it was torture to hear her crying but it worked a treat after about 3 nights she sleeps no problem and when she wakes she just drops back off to sleep herself. Also is he teething? If he is he could just be waking up with the pain maybe a painkiller before he goes down for the night might help. Hope this helps a little :)

hi i have 18m old twins and they both go to sleep no probs but like urs one wakes up and i cant ignore him as he wakes his sister up. whats worse is sometimes he wakes up and is completely awake and we put him in our bed and we are awake for an hour or 2.and this past 2 weeks the other is waking up to get into our bed.ive tried putting them back in their cribs but honestly im knackard and just want a good night sleep.sorry ive not been any help just hoping for some answers too.
