that's a good question- how often is everyone bathing their baby?

my son is almost five months old and I was wondering how often he should be given a bath?

he loves the water but it breaks my back bending over our tub and he's too big for the sink anymore. I bath him 3 times a week- too little?

2 or 3 times a week or if she gets food in her hair. our doctor said not to over bathe because it dries out their skin. i think it's really whatever parents want to do.

our dr. told us if you bathe too much you can dry out the skin..(using soap every bath) i usually do only 2 times a week, but almost everyday wipe under her neck and behind the ears since she spits up ALOT! than her actually baths she gets all soaped up.. HOPE THIS HELPS..

I've bathed my son once everyday since he was born, but now twice, once around 8 and around 7pm. He's now 5 months, so drooling due to teething and sweating is why the second bath, plus the evening bath signals to him the going to bed routine, plus for myself the best way to fall asleep is to have a nice shower! Because winter is coming and it's so much dryer in the house, I'll probably sponge him down in the evenings.

My daughter gets a bath every night (in the big bathtub). She looooves bath time, and it's also part of our bedtime routine.

When i had my daughter, I bathed her only a couple times a week. The doctor told me not to all the time because that leads to urinary infections in little girls when they bath too much.

With my boys, they were big and rolly polly. My little Jack gets a bath every night and in the big tub, not the baby tub anymore because he is too big for the baby tub! He always has stuff in his rolls. I wash him and then just sit back and let him kick and play. THat way my back is not hurting!

I bathe mine everyday and I got a baby bathtub from online that has a net that hooks on it and he lays on that, and the tub fits across that kitchen sink and has a hole in the bottom to drain. I can't imagine bending over a bathtub..OUCH!! I would rather get into the tub with him and take a bath that way!

I bathe my twin girls about 5 times a week. I use the sleepytime bath so it helps them get ready for bed. I use an infant-toddler tub on my kitchen island so it is higher and doesn't hurt my back, I can't imagine doing it in the tub. My girls have reflux so they spit up alot, they would be pretty stinky with less baths but your son is probably fine. I actually worry that I give them too many baths but it helps them go to sleep.

mine is 5 months old and he is taking a bath every day. the big one, not babies. im just standing on my knees on the floor and holding his head and neck with my hand. he is enjoying to swimm like that. and when im too tired im just putting him in the baby bath tab and sitting next to him on the big bath (cause the baby bath tab inside the regular)

Luke usually only gets a bath 1-2 times a week. He doesn't have his own bath. I just take him in with me. I've done that with all my kids and love it. I do wipe his hands (cause they are always in his mouth) and his neck (milk and spit-up drips) more often though.

Charlette gets bathed every night. At three weeks old I made her night time routine to be bath bottle bed. I found by doing this every night she settles very quickly and has been sleeping through the night ever since. I have not bathed her only once since I started and she didn't settle so I've kept up with it. :o)

Every night. She drools like crazy & somehow get this nasty smelling dirt in between her fingers & toes and on her neck (she's fat- she has a neck roll).

I give my little guy a bath every other day. Unless he decides to spit up everywhere, then he'll get one everyday

We give Seth a bath every night. My husband works all day so its as much a part of Seth's routine as it is his. He knows that when he gets a bath, he'll get a bottle and then it's bed time. Establishing a good night time routine is essential for us. They have such a great time and that way he's never super dirty.

My little man has a bath with soap every day and sometimes has a shower of a night with daddy, he loves the water, I think that has a lot to do with us having a water birth!

Our pediatrician told us that every 2-3 days was fine, our daughter is 4 months old...more is recommended once they are mobile and are getting dirtier That being said her bottom gets washed good with every change wet or bm, we wash her face and neck everyday, and we wash her hands after diaper changes and feedings...so really it's just her back and belly that need washing the other times....

I bathe my son twice a week - unless hes had a number 3 (Major explosion!). He often has a shower with one of us as hes too big for his baby bath and gets frustrated cause he hasnt got enough room to stretch out and kick!

Our little guy takes a shower with daddy because he doesn't like sitting in his bathtub. My husband holds him, and I shampoo every other night, and do the soap. After he has a bottle and sleeps from 9p.m. till 8a.m. unless he has a bad dream

Nightly as it's part of her routine. I have to wash her hair everyday. She has crazy long hair - like it's 3 inches long and in her eyes. (Yes she's only 5 months old!) and everyone is always touching it and it picks up oil.

Simen has some eczema, so I only give him a bath once, maybe twice a week. I'll wash his feet more often because they get awfully stinky and wipe his face and hands down now and then.. I thought about giving him more night time baths, but I teach till 6 several nights and he goes down around 7. Not much time..

Everyday, yes I know I'm a freak but just don't want her to smell like spit up, especially now that she's teething all the drool. She takes a bath around 10:00am before her nap, and at 6:30pm before bed.

My daughter Ava gets a bath every night. It's a part of her routine, and if she misses out, she doesn't settle very well. I make sure to only use baby soap every 2nd night and massage with Apricot oil after every bath to stop dry skin.

We bathe Jack almost every night, but it's more for the bedtime routine than dirtiness. He gets his diaper area soaped each time but we go a day or two in between shampoos.

My son gets a bath between 3 and 4 times a week too with it usually depending on if he sweat alot during the day or if we were out somewhere and I feel as though he is "dirty" (flu season and all). I don't put any soap on his face though - just gets washed with a wet washcloth.

I usually do about 3 times a week, more if he has a big accident or something. But I figure at this point 3 times is really all that's needed. But that's just me.
