My baby girl is 4 months old...I think babies that have pierced ears are soo cute. But I dont really know if there are any risks or anything like that. I would get them done at her doctors office so I know it will be clean that way...but is there anything else I should know??

my daughter's doc said between 4-6 months is a good age to do them just make sure to clean them with alcohol and do them at a reputable place

be VERY careful that the backs of the earring don't dig into her head behind her ears. it is very common and can cause a lot of damage.

You can have both ears pierced simultaneously which is slighly less upsetting for baby. I had my daughters ears pierced at 9 months to avoid complications that could arise later on. Unfortunately, by the age of 2, she decided that she hated earrings. At 5, she still hates them and refuses to wear them. I wish that I had waited, but I'm sure my daughter is not the norm.

I did my first 2 girls at 4 months and it was great but by the time they're 2yrs you can't keep earrings on them. They pull them out, they eat 'em... I'd wait. Let them beg for it when they're 13, lol.

i got my lil girls ears done at 3 months she cried for about 5 min and fell sleep they havnt bothered her since

I got my girls ears pierced after their 2 month shots. Make sure you keep them clean. Have never had a problem in 4 girls .

My parents pierced my ears when I was nine months old and I loved my pierced ears while growing up. I still hav an obsession with earrings! And as someone who is trained to pierce ears, I would recommend doing it either early (before they're 1) or much later (10-12) on as i've seen too many little girls come into the shop saying they want to get their ears pierced, only to be frightened by the noise the gun makes, and then change their minds. Then mom is stuck paying for the earrings! Personally i'm going to pierce my daughter's ears in a few months when she understands not to touch (or move, while the person is trying to pierce). Anyways, whatever you chose to do will be the right decision for you and your daughter. Good luck!

I want to get my daughter's ears pierced so bad, but my husband won't let me. Ugh! He says he wants to wait until she's old enough to decide on her own to get them pierced. Whatever!

No there is nothing else to really know. I got my daughter's done when she was 5 weeks. You just have to clean them like they tell you too. I did her so youg so that she wouldn't mess with them and get them infected! Hope that helps
