Unsure about what I am feeling

I am 33 weeks with my second child. I have been having menstrual cramps since last night. I started having loose stools this morning. I called my nurse and she told me to take an Immodium A.D. to see if that stops the cramping. Should I be concerned that it might be something else? I didn't have labor pains with my first child so I don't know what they feel like.

I had cramps and bleeding throughout my pregnancy, and my baby is healthy as can be. Just be sure you put up your feet a couple of times throughout the day, so you can rest and recharge.

I had never gone into labor either as I was induced on my due date however a week before she happened to "scrape my membranes" to try and start labor and that day I had what felt like menstrual cramps as well. If you're really worried you should go in & have the doctor check it out. There is nothing wrong with a bit of peace of mind. I'm kind of late posting here but let us know how it goes!

The cramping might be indicative of the feeling of your uterus contracting, which doesn't necessarily mean labor. Your baby may be having a little growth spurt. Or you could have a little stomach bug. Take it easy and keep in touch with your doctor, Remember to keep hydrated - small sips often!

the faint cramps could be that you are dialating some which is really common. I have only had one baby and I knew when I was having contractions. They were consistently 5 minutes apart when they started. Good luck and congratulations!!

No I didn't have the baby yet. My nurse told me that menstrual cramps can mean anything! I never went to get checked, they told me to stay home. I'm still having faint cramps. She told me as long as I wasn't having contractions with the cramps that everything is fine.

did you have the baby yet? My labor pains did feel like menstrual cramps, not what I expected... I think it is your cervix dialating which is what causes the cramping. Good luck.
