I feed my guy pretty much anything I am eating ... as long as it is fairly soft and cut up really small... so small that I don't worry about him choking even if he does just swallow it! I have soaked cheerios in milk till they are soggy.. peas, toast, noodles, rice, any veggie cooked till soft and cut small... baby cookies are great, even meat cut up super small, Eggs, fruit like pears, bananas, peaches, strawberrys, blueberries... all cut up really small of course!

my son has been eating table food since 8 months and didnt get any teeth til a few weeks ago, he turns one in 2 weeks.... I just make sure its soft and in small pieces, i feed him everything we eat ( well except for the obvious no no`s but he was able to gum things if they are chewable enough and now he has two top teeth and two bottom teeth so its easier

The food should be pre-broken down. My daughter had two teeth for many months on the bottom of her mouth. I would string turkey (cook it until it's juicey then pull it apart into strings) or chicken, feed her freshly made mashed potatoes, peas, or other things that can be gummed very easily.

Hi Malaysia, my little man has only just gotten his top tooth and only has the 2 bottom teeth but eats the following:

Breakfast: weetbix with milk or piece of toast (wholemeal only slightly toasted)

Lunch: grated cheese, half sandwich with cheese or vegemite, grapes (whole, seedless), cherry tomatoes sliced, tinned pears, watermelon, mandarin, cubes of ham (off the bone not processed), banana, avocado (cubed), noodles, muffins (cheesy vegetable ones) etc

Dinner: same as for lunch but also what we are having - spaghetti, pasta bake, mashed potato, soup (chunky vegetable with lamb shanks is his favourite as the meat just melts in his mouth), sausages (skin removed), fish (steamed fillets or fish fingers). He also has pureed vegetables still which I feed him whilst he pigs out on his finger foods.

Experimenting with different foods and textures is the fun part - babies have an excellent gag reflex which helps bring up any food that is too big for them to swallow. Good luck and have fun experimenting!!

Steamed veggies, soft fruits (pear, banana, avocado), toast (whole wheat- white is pasty), gerber wagon wheels, cereal bars... my son's favorites are banana and steamed sweet potato as wells as anything dry (grains; puffs, toast, wagon wheels, cereals).

Mine just got her two bottom teeth as well. I giver her things like yogurt, different flavored apple sauces, pieces of meat that are maybe the size of a dime, she really enjoys cubed cheese, and veggies mixed with rice or pasta with a little sauce. I also give her scrambled eggs, but most dont suggest that til they are atleast a year.
