I love how Halloween is such a big deal in the states, over here (New Zealand ) hardly anyone dresses up , although they do the last few years I guess, but you don't see many kids trick or treating , its definetly not a very big deal here....I can imagine the babies look super adorable all dressed up too !

I have a few cheap ideas for halloween. Elizabeth was a baby leopard. She wore leopard print footie pjs. then at the dollar store, they had a headband with ears, a tail and bowtie all in one pack that was also leopard print. I just used the ears though. She was so adorable. they usually have them in black (cat) and black/white spotted (dalmation) also. For the black cat you can use black sweatpants and shirt, eyeliner for whiskers. for the dalmation you can get the sweatpant and shirt in white and color black spots on it with a sharpie or large bingo dot marker. and color the tip of their nose with eyeliner. Two costumes that I would really like to do are (1)Kangaroo-me in a kangaroo suit and her in one. the have it where she is in one of those front carriers and have it look like she is in my pouch. (2)Gorilla-same concept minus the pouch. lol. I know the post is a little late but maybe it can help for next year,

we were going to dress Critter as a baked potato, with him in a white onesie with a light brown blanket wrapped around him and then a silver blanket wrapped around that. top it off with white beanie and sew a yellow square on the top- BUT we are out of money so maybe you could use that idea?
instead he's going to be a tiger! RAWR~
HAPPY HALLOWEEN ALL!

Nevaeh is being Dorothy for her 1st halloween. None of the infant costumes would fit her so I improvised and bought a puppy costume that is just a dress with velcro down the back. Im still debating on whether or not I will tell her it was meant for a puppy when she gets older. I also bought her a tiny basket for $1 and a puppy. She loves holding her basket!

a bear:)...and honestly it won't matter...don't worry about it too much because honestly they'll wear the costume for a few minutes/hours (if that even, considering whether they like it or not) and then it'll go in the closet never to be worn again :'(

i saw a pirate costume on another social networking site that was sooo cute! would match the theme of your daughter's costume! my daughter's gonna be a fairy too but not tinkerbell - i'm improvising with a pretty dress, stockings and store bought wings and wand.
