my son is 30lbs and 30 inches. very perportionate though. he was breast fed, and normally those babies are a tad bigger, he is very active so it doesnt bother me. hes in his own percentile class.

my daughter was a little over 21 lbs and 29 inches at her 1 yr doc appt, and at her shots (a week later) she was 22 lbs 1 oz and 75 cm (which is a little over 29 inches). shes grown a lot since then, considering that was a month and a half ago... now shes almost 30 inches, and about 23 1/2 lbs.

My son was 10lbs and 6ozs at birth. Big boy from the start. He was gaining and gaining all the way up to 6 months, but for some reason, he just hasn't gained a whole lot since then. At his 1 year check up, he weighted 22lbs and 10ozs. which is less then 3lbs heavier than he was at 6 months. Doctors said that he's fine tho and that they aren't worried about it 1 bit!

Dear Raynelle, you posted that your little one is not quite 19 lbs and I wanted to let you know that my little girl (born at 7 lbs 13 oz) was also just over 18 lbs at her 12 month check and they aren't concerned at all, she is taller for her age and she eats well and drinks plenty of milk, she walks and is developmentally appropriate....for me I know that she is just very active and I suspect is burning off a lot of the calories she eats....we give her whole milk to get plenty of fat for healthy brain development and I make sure she gets 3 meals and at least 2-3 snacks every day! she eats about every 2 hours during the day. I hope this helps!

My little one is about 20lbs and 13months....my doctor said she was below weight.......she was 49% on the chart....and is usually around 55% :S

At one year old he was 22 pounds and 3 ounces. He was born at 7 lb 9 oz. Now at 13 months, I do not know what he weighs.. probably 23 pounds. :-)

My baby girl is 13 months and was 12lbs 14oz at her appointment yesterday. She weighed 13 lbs 7 oz and 26" at her checkup Monday but has been sick all week from her reflux. She was born at 6 lbs 9 oz and 18 ". She was born with a EA/TEF (where her esophagus didnt connect to her stomach so she had surgery at 3 days old to have it repair. Since than she has had several dilations to open up the repaired site because it narrows from the acid in her reflux.

My daughter is almost 14 months and just reached 18 pounds. She was 7 lbs. 11 oz at birth, was 13 pounds at 4 months, and then stopped. We ended up finding out (after a lot of testing) that she had severe sleep apnea (she stopped breathing 180 times in 7 hours, 4 min. of REM sleep), her adenoids were blocking 80% of her nasal passage way, and her tonsils were at +3. After getting both removed and a lot of prayer, she is finally growing! She has gained 3 1/2 pounds in the 2 months since her surgery. Definately keep on top of her weight, but she sounds like she is doing fine. Just keep offering her a variety of food and hopefully she will eventually find what she likes.

My almost 14 month old is 18 pounds, but she had some health issues and is just starting to grow. (She was 13 pounds from 4 months to 8 months). I think your baby sounds perfect!

hey my daughter was 8pound 14oz at birth ..and is now almost 13months and weigh 8.1kgs witch i think is about 18pound 1.5oz i am not worryied as she eats lots and is very active + my partners side of the family are little migets..i love having a small active baby,just be happy that they are healthy and full of beans (breastfeeding )

My "little" man is a baby Hercules!! He was 11 pounds 8 oz and 22.5 inches when he was born, shocking I know-I pushed him out! And he is now 12.5 months old and 30 pounds 8 oz and 32 inches!!! My big boy I know! But for baby growth he's right on track, close to tripling his weight but is now moving around like crazy so he may actually be on the charts soon :)

My daughter is 13 months 1 week and she now weighs 18lbs 22 oz. The nurses say that she is now the weight of an 8 month old. She is a picky eater so I can't give her the same foods too often, as sometimes she fusses to eat and other times she eat everything that passes by. Her development is on par though, she is walking to the point that she is always one step behind me. She is talking, singing, dancing, sorting items and always is a ball of energy. In other words she is healthy. We have another visit in 3 months just to check the weight so I hope that it goes up to what the health officials expect and that my mind could be at ease. Does anyone else has this problem with their baby's weight?
