Hi Renee - my child has two teeth (bottom) so far. I know that one tooth on the top and another on the bottom are coming in (have not broken through the skin yet - but soon). Teeth can come in any order (and your child will lose them in the order that they come in). No worries!

My son got his two bottom teeth at about 3 months. Then he got is 4 top teeth between 4 months and 7 1/2 months. He finally had about a 2 week break and he's now working an another bottom tooth. He's 8 months and has 6 (almost 7) teeth so far. I think they grow different for every child. My daughter would get 3 or 4 teeth all at once then nothing for a couple months.

Well my daughter got her first two bottom teeth at 6 months old. She is 9 months as of today! and she is working on her 4 top teeth. They are swollen and the ones on either side are about to poke through. My friends daughter cut a top side tooth first which is odd then cut the one beside it. So I mean they can come from anywhere.

My wee guy cut all 4 bottom incisors between 25 and 28 weeks. He just got 2 on the top (one middle, one side) last week (39 weeks) and it looks like the other top front one is about to pop through. My older son was the classic two down, two up, then another two down followed by the other two up! Babies are all different!

Hi, my Daughter is 9 months and only has two teeth on the bottom at the front, my son on the other hand had 9 teeth at 9 months and didnt get them in the order they say! they are all different and will come when they are ready. x
my sons 8 months and he has 6 teeth already..but his order when bottom two..top two and then the top ones next to the top two,his bottem teeth took a long time to come in and after that its been a cake walk compared..his top teeth came in in pairs and they were alot faster to cut then when he got his first tooth..if the area is swollen your baby might be close to cutting teeth soon.. all i cant reccomend is giveing her teething gel and wither metal rings or hard plastic to help the teeth cut thru...dont give her teething dissolvable tablets..i tried that on my son and it makes him spit up every five minutes,,,

My son will be 9 months on the 14th, he has 2 bottom teeth and 2 top teeth coming in at the same time. :D He started getting his bottom teeth around 7 months old, and now the top 2 teeth now at once! I dont think there is an order of when teeth come in, but thats how my sons tops gums looked before i discovered that he was cutting 2 top teeth a once, keep an eye on it, you may see a tooth in a few days! (:

from webMD it says for
* lower teeth (bottom) 6-10 mos. central incisor (center bottom teeth), 10-16 mos. lateral incisor (the two bottom teeth next to the center), 17-23 mos. bottom canine, 14-18 mos. first molar, 23-31 mos. second molar
*Upper teeth (top) 8-12mos. central incisor (center top teeth), 9-13 mos. lateral incisor (the two teeth next to the center), 16-22 mos. top canine, 13-19 mos. first molar, 25-33 second molar.
Sorry if this doesn't make much sense. Anyway my son got the both of lower central at 5-6 months. then the top lateral incisor.
Here the web address to clear my scramble up....http://www.webmd.com/hw-popup/primary-ba...

Hi. My daughter was born June 25th, she FINALLY cut her 2 bottom teeth a month ago at 7.5 months and they are now about half way up. About a week or two after they cut thru, she started madly chewing on things to the side of her mouth. (I don't see anything though.) I was expecting the top two to be next, but thanks to seeing posts above, now know it is normal that it could be any teeth coming in! I also use orajel when she seems so fussy that nothing else helps and used Tylenol twice at night when she seems in pain. I have bought about ten different teethers and the ones she likes best are the bead type rings (size of a small necklace, in case anyone else wants to try those, they work for us.

Hi, my daughter was born June 04th. Her two front bottom teeth broke through in December and her third tooth just cut through. Interestingly it is her top left canine! I was expecting her top front teeth but not so. My dentist said this is not unusual.

There's no real order. My 9 month old got her first bottom tooth at 7 months. Her 2nd bottom tooth at 8 mos. Her first top tooth at 9 months and her 2nd top tooth is on it's way in. Needless to say - sleep hasn't been quality around here lately.

Who has suggestions for helping our little ones (and us !) through this ?
I sometimes rub Orajel on his gums, and a couple of times resorted to Baby Tylenol - but most of the time I just hug him and kiss him - is there anything else ?

I read a book about there teeth and there is no order, other than the 4 in front on the bottom and top will come in first. My son got the bottom 2 middle teeth in and then he had all 6 (4 on top and 2 more on bottom) come in at once. So they will come, probably really soon.

I don't really think the teeth come in a certain order. My 9 month old got her bottom 2 at 7 months at the same time and now at 38 weeks another 2 came at once at the bottom next to the other two. Luckily every baby is different..... Good luck....

My Son cut his first tooth at 3 month's old the bottom one, then another bottom tooth cut through at 3 and a half month's, Along come the 2 top teeth at 4 months, then another two top teeth come along at 6 mths , and now at 8 month's his bottom tooth has just cut through, so they are cutting through fast...It's a terrible time for them though but with hugs and kisse's our baby will be fine...

My son cut his first teeth last month, but they were his top two! I was surprised as i thought they cut there bottom two first, apparently they can come in pretty much any order but start with the middle ones and fill out to the back ones.

my daughter is 9 months old and her 2 bottom teeth came in around 5 months, then 1 more bottom tooth to the side of the front ones, and then the top 2 front teeth came in around 7 1/2 months, and then the other bottom side one, and now she's getting the top 2 to the sides of the front ones. i've been told that you can usually expect the top 2 front teeth after the bottoms front ones, but the order doesn't matter either way.

My daughter got the 2 middle bottoms at the same time when she was about 4 months. She then got a third one on the bottom and then she got one of the top front ones and then she got another one off to the side on top(these three were all within a few weeks of eachother at about 8 months). She is now 9 months and has the other top front one and the one beside that about to cut through any day.
