My daughter, now 7 was rolling back and forth at 4months, sitting up at 5months and walking at 9 months.
And you know what ?it makes no difference now, noone looks at her and compares her to her classmates for being amazing for doing things early .
This time, im not in a hurry to see what my son is going to do , he'll do things, when he does them .

My daughter was born June 12 '09, so she is just over 5.5 months old. She has been rolling and scooting around on her tummy since she was 5 months but started crawling 2 days ago. She can sit without support, knows her name, smiles and laughs, and seems to be aware of objects and people around her, even when she can't see them (for example, will turn around to grab a toy she left behind her, will turn towards the door when she hears daddy's keys in the lock as he comes home, looks for the cats when she hears them meowing, will crawl out of her room into the kitchen to look for me while I'm cooking). She is very vocal but I'm waiting for some more recognizable sounds. Still no teeth!!! Will start her on solids on her 6-month birthday, Dec 12.

holds her own bottle (has been for about 1.5 months) smiles, laughs, rolls over (for about 3 weeks now), reaches, grabs and puts things in her mouth, stands with support (for over a months now) says mama when she cries, sqeals with excitement, sits well with support but youj can not let her go yet or she'll roll over, gets mad that she cant crawl, plays with her feet but doesnt put them in her mouth (thank god) but i guess she may soon, no teeth but plenty of drool and knawing, sleeps great!! sometime close to 10 hours, DOB 6/26

Hi my name is mellissa and my daughter madison was born on June.19/09. She can sit against the couch, but not for very long without needing my help. She rolls from her back to her tummy and her tummy to her back. In fact when she gets started she is really on a roll! hahaha. She will roll right across the living room in 2 sec.I can tell she is really trying to learn how to crawl. She is arching her self up on her arms and trying to bring her legs up under herself. She doesn't have a bobble head anymore and knows her name very well. She stares at me when ever I eat, so i started her on pablim about one week before she turned 5months old. She gets pablim mixed with either apple or pear sauce in the morning and then just pablim and formula in the evening. I am going to start giving her veggies with her night pablim as soon as she turns 6 months. She is teething and has one tooth in allready. She also has another one comming in. She talks all the time and loves to gurgle. I think she makes lots of noise just to hear herself. She grabs her feet and sucks on her toes. It just amazes me how they can bend.

My son turned 5 months on the 27th.



He can roll over tummy to back and back to tummy both ways

He turns himself around

He sits up with a little support just in case he tumbles

He blows raspberries, pokes his tongue out ( we taught him to do it like a lizard)

Hes just stared solids a couple of weeks ago and is loving it!

hes very vocal and says mumma alot, and dadda sometimes

he has 3 - 4 bottles a day with 6-8 fl oz

he knows who his grandparents are, and uncles

has been teething since 3 months but they are just coming through now

loves being on his feet, and takes steps and even trys to run and jump

Hes great and grabbing everything, knows that when he shakes a rattle he makes noise, and the harder he shakes the louder it is!

Loves eating his feet! and fists!...and anything else he can get into his mouth (toys, mum and dads hands etc)

Loves all foods so far (banana, sweet potato, potato, apple, pear, mango, beetrot, zuchini, bread, blueberries, sweet corn...yea literally everything!)

has just started sleeping better through the night since putting him in his own room (sleeps from about 8 til 2ish, then has a feed and lasts til 8ish)

whenever he sees the camera, he instantly pokes his tongue out

loves attention, and will do anything to get it!

My baby just turned 5 months old on Nov. 27th and he hates being on his stomach.  He hasn't rolled over on his own because he won't stay on his tummy long enough to learn!  I also want to know how I can help him.  He focuses on EVERYTHING around him, especially the TV, loves to babble, wants to stand all the time or sit up, though not unsupported, and is EBF so only takes bottles at daycare.  I think he's fine in all areas and is probably just taking a little longer to roll over.  He is my first so I worry about his development.  Any advice?

my daughter is jsut turned 5 months she was born June 18th so far she can:
*sit unsuported for about 2 minutes if undistracted
*lets out these "squeals" when she needs to be picked up or paid attention to
* grabs on things
*is fascinated by her fingers (i dont think she knew they were hers so she sits there moving them watching them
* talks a lot of baby talk the tatatata and mmmm
*laughs a lot and loves to scream she is obnoxious really
* rolled over for the first time last week but slides all over the place when on her back
*is now eating solids- she hates bananas
*was only bottlefed
* loves to stand supported
* i think she's teething (notsure shes my only baby and havent been around many ) she chews ANYTHING
*slept in her room for the fist time last night and it went fine she woke up once.
* she sleeps from about 930p till7am sometimes its been as late as 9am (from birth the most she ever woke up was once a night)

My son sits up by himself for a short period of time would rather stand with help then sit or lay is very alert laughs smiles goos cahhs looks rolls grabs holds bottle knows name and tries to crawl!

my baby is 5 months, 2 weeks, 3 days (born 5 june). she can sit on her own with the occassional fall down, sleeps most nights from 7pm - 5.30am, roll both ways, doesn't talk much at all, but smiles heaps, and just today pulled herself up to standing on the side of her cot. OMG

My son will turn 6 months on Dec 5. So far he can:
1. sit against the sofa, but not without support
2. roll back and forth
3. go about in circles
4. makes all sorts of sounds...especially loves to grrrrrrrr grrrrrrrrrrrrr when he is really happy!
5. laughs LOUDLY...
6. calls out with an "aaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
7. sleeps for about 3-4 hours in the day and sleeps from 8 or 9pm to roughly 6am...although he wakes up about 2-3 times for a feed as he is EBF
8. has solids once a day - rice and lentil mix, also tried bananas
9. loves his bath routine every morning and before going to bed
10. loves nursery rhymes that I sing regularly and the books I read daily!
11. Weighs about 13 lbs.

My daughter will roll both ways, as soon as put on back she will roll over to her tummy and then get up on all fours and rock back and forth. Her legs know how to crawl but she doesnt quite know how to do her arms so she just pushes herself forward with her legs, lets her arms go and flops down (moving forward with each push), moving until she has got to her desired toy, which she then reaches out for and brings straight to her mouth. She can hold her own weight when standing and holding onto my fingers and would prefer to stand than sit. She babbles/chats on occasion during the day but usually only when her fingers are in her mouth, it is easy to get a smile from her but only gives her beautiful giggle after lots of work from mummy, hehe. My litlle one turned 5 months on November 17 and sits with little support.

my little girl was born on the 13th of june, she can say mom, mom, da, and nan, she rolls from her belly to her back, n so forth, we found her in her cot the other day sitting up playing with her mobile, she is now sitting by herself, and is never quiet always trying to talk, she goes to bed at 8 and wakes at 10 the following morning, she eat two week bits for breakfast, a custard for lunch, and afternoon dinner and eats organic veggies for tea followed buy a yogurt for desert, along with her juice and bottles of milk during the day....

my son was born june 23 he rolls back and forth. hate being on his back, is now sleeping on his stomach all the time. he was sleeping all night long since about a month old but now he gets up around two every morning for a bottle, but he can hold his own bottle so i just give it to him. he loves to watch tv as funny as that sound but he will stare at a tv like he knows what is going on. he is starting to get up on his hands and knees but is a little un balanced.

my lil miss was 5 months old on the 8th. she has been sitting up on her own for almost a month, but would much rather to stand (holding on to something of course) she has been rolling around now for months, and laughing and "talking" since she is about 3 weeks old. she is eating solids, and holding her own bottle. she is teething now and is constantly chewing on anything she can get her hands on.

My son is 5 months today and can pretty much sit unsupported but if he leans to much to one side he cant correct it. he rolls back to front and loves to stand! he pulls himself up to a standing position holding my hands. he can army crawl along the floor but cant co-ordinate his arms and legs to crawl properly yet its either legs tucked in and arms flat face down or arms right up and legs frantically kicking behind (very adorable!) he is very very alert but always has been (which is bad for nap times and he is a very distracted feeder during the day!) he reaches for everything and giggles, smiles and recognises faces and expressions..

My little Leah turned 5 months on the 8. She is now sitting unsupported for about 45 secs and can get up on her hands and knees. Rolling is not an issue, in fact she makes her way around the room this way. She is sleeping from 8 pm to about 7:30 am. Her laugh is very contagious, and loves for people to give her attention. She is very tiny for her age weighing just under 15 lbs. But all in all is a very ambitious little girl trying to keep up with her two older brothers.

My daughter was born on 6/10! She's smiling, trying to talk, very playful. She loves to swing and slap at me. She's starting to scoot a little when she's on her belly. She can hold her head very well. She can sit good not supported until something around her catches her attention. She is rolling over like crazy. She reaches for her parents and toys. Loves to "sing" as her dad calls it. She's a very alert child.

My baby girl was born on 6-4 and she can sit up, she loves to stand with support and she started on solid foods, she has 2 teeth on the bottom and cutting one on the top.. Evelyn loves to smile and blow raspberrys. Evelyn has started to crawl like and inch worm. Evelyn has slept through the night since she was born.

Mine was born on the 3rd. She can sit up on her own and only falls over when she wants to or if she's trying to reach for something. She sleeps 8 hours at night. Giggls all the time. Has two bottom teeth and is really trying to crawl.

my son was born on June 1st and he can sit with help, roll from back to tummy, smile and laugh, loves to stand up! grabs my face and attacks me with his gums LOL! he is starting to really grab things that interest him and he shakes and throws things too, he makes many different sounds when he is jibber jabbering now, he has facial expressions and can read others facial expressions as well, he tries to help me feed him but just makes things worse but it's cute! he sleeps all night and hates to lay down only wants to sit or stand

My son will be 5 months Nov. 22nd, he can stand with little support,sit up on his own,he has been rolling from his stomach to back since he was 2 weeks old, and back to stomach since he was 2and half months,he is a regular chatter and giggle box, and recently has been pushing himself across the floor. I just switched him to formula, and bottle holding came natural to him and he is also sleeping through the nights now, and has started pulling himself up with his toys. I think we are in for a lot of trouble in the near future =).

born the 11th, my son sits with little support, rolls back and forth with ease, scoots forward like crazy (it's his favorite thing to do and his Pedi said he will be crawling sooner than the average baby), laughs out loud, screams in excitement, says "Da da da da", grabs everything in his reach, splashs the water at bath time, and already has some separation anxiety from his dad and I.

my son was born june 2nd. he rolls back to front and fron to back. he smiles and laughs all the time. he sits with little support. if i sit him on the floor and put his hands in front of him he'll sit by himself for very short periods of time. he holds his own bottle and wants to hold the spoon when i feed him cereal. he reaches for everything and can hold his toys. he holds his head up really good (no more bobbling). he puts everything in his mouth. he recognizes me and his daddy and is nervous around strangers. he sleeps about 12 hrs a night (has been since 4 wks old) takes 2 naps during the day about an hour long.

My son was born 22nd, he sit's with little support and an hold his head. He can roll onto his tummy and get his arm from under himself. Likes to stand more then been sat, is very vocal, pulls faces, smiles and giggles. Sleeps for about 8 hours during the night and has a nap around luchtime.

My daughter was born on the 26th. She can roll back to front but then cries cuz she can't go anywhere yet. She is trying to crawl but not successful yet. She sits with little support and likes to stand rather than sit. Of course she would rather stand on mommy's tummy than anywhere else. She also has started to cut her first tooth so likes to chew on daddy's hand. She is such a daddy's girl it isn't funny. She sleeps through the night for almost 10hrs which is nice. We have set bed time and nap times but mostly keep her up during the day.

My son will be 5 months on the 15th. He rolls over front to back constantly. He does roll back to front but not very often, still a little hard for him. This could be because he hates laying down so he doesn't spend much time practicing. He is sitting with very little support and almost stands by himself. He has stood by himself for up to a minute than realizes what he is doing and tips over. He is trying so hard to walk but needs a little more strength. He has been rolling over since 1 month so Dr suggested we move on to next milestone so he has been practicing standing/walking since then.

He is very vocal. If he isn't cooing and giggling (making his happy sounds) he is groaning or whining.

He is putting everything in his mouth, including his binky! He is also holding his bottle by himself.

He is deffinitly a mommy's boy and would prefer to be with me over anybody else.

Generally he sleeps through the night and takes 2 naps a day usually about 2 1/2 hours each.

My son turned 4 months on the 21st also. He sits with little support, he would rather stand and he also tries to take little baby steps lol. He tries to pull himself up holding my fingers.. he's very alert.. turning his head side to side to look at everything which he has been doing since very little! He squeals and giggles and makes crazy noises! He rolls all the time from his belly to his back and thinks its funny! He grabs at everything which I call helping when I carry him around haha which he isn't much help! He tries to pick his bottle up and put it in his mouth and his paci. He chews on his hands all the time trying to fit both in his mouth (i think he's been teething for awhile). Also on his belly he pulls his legs up and gets his head up trying to crawl. He's such a cute smart little guy! Sounds like they all are right on target for 4months old!!

My son was born June 4th, and sits, and sat by himself first time alone today, ok, it might have only been half a minute, but that counts right? He rolls over and over like nothing. He has almost always slept through the night, and has almost perfectly scheduled nap times. He crawled once last week about a foot, and now is wriggling in circles. He pulls himself up to sitting then to standing, and wants to be standing rather than sitting. When the radio is on in the car he just babbles and babbles like he is singing, and if the music stops he stops. He talks up a storm and trys to imitate sylables -not sounds.

He will grab onto our fingers and pull himself from laying on his back to standing.He also scoots on his belly a little bit. He squeals with delight and just to hear himself at times. My son can sometimes sit without support. He also stands with very little support and believe it or not, while I'm holding him he tries to take lil baby steps. He rolls like crazy. He reaches for objects and now is throwing objects on the floor and finding it funny. But he will be 5 months on Nov. 1.

My son Sits wit little support also, he wold rather stand then lay down. He has rolled front to back and back to front. He sees many colors. He is alert to sounds.He is easily able to lift his torso to a 45 degrees angle when on his tummy. He can focus well. He Holds his head without any "bobblieness". He reaches for objects more easily. He is more vocal now; screeches delightfully just to hear himself. His face is more animated, giving you more clues about his moods. He can even read My facial expressions.
