oh, thank god for you all! I thought that I had done something to make her that way! So glad that I am not the only one that feels the need for matching mommy and baby straight jackets!

My daughter will be 15 months next week and I swear she went from being a cute little darling to a little monster! She throws things, screams, and just acts like a total brat for no reason sometimes! Drives me nuts! I just ignore it...she doesnt get the attention and eventually stops!

Someone told me that the terrible two's start around this time, because it is their 2nd year of life starting! So by the time they are two, they're experiencing the the terrifying threes! I shudder to think of it that way, but sometimes it makes so much sense

It's normal for this age. I don't let my daughter get away with throwing a fit. I talk to her and teach her the right way but I do it all with patience and love.

Mine too!! What's worse, if I do something she doesn't like (i.e. take something away from her, prevent her from running away, etc...) she HITS!! I have no idea where she learned that one. She's an only child, and hasn't gotten any spankings... yet! Can't wait til she is old enough to understand time out. We tried the other day putting her in a corner for hitting me, and she kept crawling out and laughing. So frustrating!

Yes...my 13 month old daughter is also on a little warpath that's all her own, lol! Falling out when she doesn’t get her way, throwing things, screaming at the top of her lungs…phew!
It seems like everyone is up to speed on the "terrible 2's"… so, my question is if LOs start these behaviors at 1 (which I think I'll call the “worrisome 1's”), what happens when they turn 2?! Yikes!
Hmm, maybe should I plan to consider therapy as a future option, lol. Motherhood is definitely not for wimps!

Thank goodness i am not the only one with a 14mth girl with attitude. i was worried. i wish i had answers but i just don't. i do try not to give her bad attitude to much attention and she snaps out of it pretty quick. she rolls over and over and over squeeling and crying. once she is quiet i distract her with a toy she likes or a funny song. while she is playing up i watch out the corner of my eye to make sure she does not hurt herself or someone else. it is so embarassing when we are out and people look round to see who her mum is but she stops in less than a minute. if i go to pick her up she gets worse so the ignore works for now with Abbey.

My son is 14months old and he does the same… but I read somewhere that at this age is the way to show the frustrations to not be able to communicate the wishes or explain that why they need that or want that.
After I read that I pay a little attention with the things that he wants I do not say not just because I try to explain him even though sometimes he cries and do not listen reasons…

my daughter and my niece are the same way... and the same age lol (my niece will be 14 months on the 15th and my daughter on the 24th)... lucky for me i have an attitude too, and my husband always calls our girl "little shannon" haha... but yeah ive heard from a lot of people that their 1 yr olds are going through the terrible two phase already... that and teething doesnt help (my daughter got 3 molars in a week and a half ouch). i say just hang in there and try not to let her make you pull your own hair out!

It worries me too. I thought that maybe she's got it from me and now I'm re leaved that she is not the only one. My mom also told me that I use to go the same and would bang my head at the wall if she discipline me. Now that I'm the mother myself my baby is going it to me.

Yeah, my daughter is that old and she's something else. She's definitely sassy and has her own opinion about things. She usually doesn't agree with mommy and throws toddler tantrums. She's full of attitude. It's normal.

man, my son will be 14 months on 8/11, and he's got such an attitude. he's also a drama queen, lol. when i say no, it's a big production, rolling on the floor, pitching a fit, kicking, screaming, and sticking his bottom lip out.

hhahaha I think its got to be something with the age... my little boy turned one and started having such a little attitude. Ive been thinking the same thing over hte last couple months as well... but I was talking with my cousin and her little girl is about the same age and going thru the attitude thing too... I really think its just an age thing....phase hopfully!
