My daughter was born June 20, 2009 via emergancy c section. She is my first and I'm struggling with wieght loss. I've been at the same weight since 3 months after she was born and I'm getting sick of it. Pre baby I was a size 1, 110lbs, healthy with good muscle tone. Now I'm a size 9 and am 1140 lbs and I can't help but feel crappy when I was so slim before. I know that I'm not horrible now, but I want my pre baby body back! I know I can get it it's just this layer of fat on my tummy that jsut doesn't want to leave. I've done sit ups, crunchs, dieted, ect so any ideas?

It's a constant struggle and I think it gets harder with each baby. I would say change things up - eat a little stricter and do different workouts that you haven't been doing - sometimes that helps the weight come off. Good luck - you are in good company!

Hey I understand wanting to lose weight, and for some people it's never easy. I've never been a slim person but I've never been really over weight either. I was the smallest when I first got pregnant with my first little girl and I was about 130 lbs. I lost that weight after her and when I got pregnant with my second little girl I gained a lot of weight at the end of the pregnancy I think I was about 165-170lbs. It didn't come off like it did with my first little one. I started walking up and down my stairs and doing work outs with exercise ball which helped I lost 15 lbs. with that and now I'm stuck at about 145lbs. I have started doing the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and I will tell you what ladies it really is a work out I'm not sure about the results yet, but if you are looking for a work out this is definatly a bit of a challenge. :) I hope that things get better for you with your trials I know they aren't fun.

Well, I was about 170 when I gave birth to my son last June. I went down to around 143ish but now I am back to 170ish again. I do not eat properly (I don't eat a lot but I do eat the wrong kind of things) or exercise regularly. I feel that it is my own fault that I haven't losed any weight. I'm starting to eat right and get more exercise. While I don't think that I will never be a size 4 again, I do want to get back down to 140s.

If you see this, leave this form field blank.

Hey Ladies!

Are you looking to get healthy, lose weight, improve your energy? Sounds great, right?

Let me tell you a little background on how I got here. My husband and I started the program in May of 2013. We were truly shocked at how easy this was and amazed by our results! I lost 20lbs in two months, and he lost 40lbs in 3.5 months.

If the pounds weren't enough to make me thrilled, loosing 4 inches in my butt and hips had me ecstatic! haha. The best part is we haven't gained it back. Our view on food is different and we are more active.

It was so incredibly easy to keep on board with the program. There is less than 5 min. prep time for the food, some are just open and go! I loved that I could toss a snack in my purse and not rely on finding a "healthy choice" on the go. Not to mention, cooking once a day was a nice break.

Well, one thing leads to another and I decided to be a health coach through Take Shape For Life after I did the program. I want to help others create a healthy lifestyle that is sustainable. I've included my website in case you want to reference it at a later time.

You can see all of the meal options, read more about what this program is and what it entails at the website below. Stop by my facebook page and feel free to email me any questions. I am completely honest and open and want to help you reach your goals.

Thanks, Kristin

I was overweight at 165 when I got pregnant and was 215 with twins when I had an emergency C-section 6 weeks early! I am now down to a size 9 and 145 after weight watchers and some exercise. I am happy where I am and of course would like to lose a little more. If you were a size 2 or 4 before pregnancy and are now of average weight, you are fine. I would love to be the size 4 I was in high school, but I am a grown woman in my 30's who doesn't need to look like a teenager in skinny jeans. I look normal and feel great. I accept my stretch marks and baby belly that my twins have given me.

Hello My name is Keema. I have twin boys Same situation Born emergency C Section and I can not Loss my weight. I have the Mirena Birth control and I am having horrible trouble. I have a Best friend that lives in Lansing. We are both sick of it so we are doing something about it. We both have a treadmill and are going to do this together long distance. We call each other talk about it and work out. we work out then all each other and talk more about it. It is better when you are doing it with someone. We do not always work out at the same time but we do workout in the same day. I am 4'11 and I weight 200lbs :(. My prepregnancy weight was 130 standard for my height.

If you do not have a treadmill you can walk outside. It is important to have a buddy because I have tried everything ALONE and I got no where for lack of motivation. You can email me if you wanna talk agar.keema@gmail.com

My biggest advice is not to give into any sort of miracle diets, pills, shakes, meals...it's all very temporary and bad for your body. Start slow with changes in your nutritional lifestyle. Have lots of plant based proteins ( legumes, grains, nuts, beans) to keep your muscle mass, tons of veggies ( try to eat 50% raw veggies and fruits), invest in a great plant based cookbook to boost your creativity in the kitchen..have fun with it and you will see how much more energy you will have, how beautiful you will feel seeing those pounds just go away..and the best part is that you will love the food you eat and won't even think about meat or diary...it will disgust you. I have studied it with a passion before I switched and I am glad I did. I don't have to worry about "finishing my diet" and putting pounds back on. I look for recipes online and I bought a great cookbook by Brendan Brazier "Thrive". Eating this way will keep you full, happy, energized, and your body will thrive on many more levels ( libido boost, all your skin, hair, nail, acne, eczema, heartburn, headaches, IBS etc will be gone for good). It is truly been an amazing improvement in my life. On average you will see 3-5lbs on lost weight a week. OK ...I am done. I hope you will give it a shot:-)

I lost all my pregnancy weight in 6 months after my daughter was born. I have to say I've gained 50 lbs while pregnant. All I did was change the way I eat..and eat only plant based food.

Have you had your thyroid checked out? I had a friend that's had 2 babies and would diet, work out religiously. But her body held on to that weight because her thyroid is over active. Now that she medicated she's back to normal. I gained a 60 lbs and I have lost 57lbs and I started walking then running. Cardio is key! That's what really jump started my metabolism

Prebaby I was 135, then I gained 50 lbs. while pregnant (I basically didn't say no to any food! Ouch!) I lost a good bit within the first month, as I nurse my LO and when I found out he was severely allergic to milk and eggs, I dropped these from my diet and started on calcium/vit. D supplements. (Around month 6 post-deliv) At 11 mos. post-deliv, I now weigh around 125, so the nursing + no dairy has been my saving grace, as I work full-time at night, then full-time during the day chasing the baby and don't have time to do a formal work-out routine! However, simply watching your diet and exercising is the fool-proof way to do it! I watch people take weight loss pills and not exercise, expecting to lose weight, but that's just not how it works!

Girl it is only 30 lbs. Try having four babies back to back. I went from an 6 to a 14 and from 125 to 172. I am back down to a size 10 and am weighing between 148 and 150 but my baby is 10mths old. I have a 2, 3, and a 4 year old too not to mention my nine year old. Give yourself time and it will come off. It took me 2 years after my first to loose back down to my original weight just loose it slow and it will stay off and not come right back. Good luck

I am back at my pre-baby size 5 jeans and was in about a month after birth, but I am still 5 pds heavier then my pre-baby weight. My boobs are still huge, I was a 34c and now I measure at a 36DD. I stopped breast feeding and my son will be 1 on June 5th but I still have pregnancy boobs lol. After my daughter my boobs went back to normal after I stopped breast feeding. I hate wearing these big ugly plain bras and wish I could still fit into my sexy lacey bras. Other than that my body hasnt really changed after 2 kids, other than a little stretched skin right below my navel, and I am 27.

Well, I hope you're not really 1140lbs!! J/K! :) Anyway, I wish I could say that a C-Section contributed to my issues losing weight but unfortunately (yet fortunately) not. I weighed 135 lbs before I got pregnant (5'6'') so not super skinny but I was at the perfect weight for my height. Now, I am at 186 and have lost but 10lbs since having the baby 11 months ago. It's frustrating. I wont lie that I am not the "exercise" type, but I do have a 3story house that I run up and down a hundred times a day. But I do eat pretty healthy. It is terrible to not be able to fit into any of my cute little clothes anymore.

We're moving in October, and I've now made it a mission to get rid of my "fat clothes" and get back into my skinny clothes by the time we hit the road. I've started working out with videos off of Netflix and taking the baby out for walks (but its been raining bad for a week and a half now). I dunno. I am gonna try! Don't give up hope. Just set yourself a goal.

Also, might wanna try SparkPeople.com. The site if very motivational, earning badges and reminding you to eat healthy and exercise daily. Another thing to do is make sure you're getting plenty of sleep every day. If your body is working too hard to keep up with your sleep deprived body it can't focus on helping you burning those calories.

When I was younger, I was a fat little girl. I got Hypothyroidism and went from 90lbs to 220lbs in just a few months. When I got pregnant with my first baby I weighed 213lbs, by the time I had him I weighed only 160ish lbs. The doctors say that getting pregnant most likely caused my thyroid problem to return to normal, but that it could happen again at any time in the future. Regardless, while pregnant I ate a lot of fruits and veggies, very little meat, drank lots of water, avoided anything like candy, cakes and other unhealthy sugars including soda, walked 2-3 miles every day (no running or anything!) and lost the weight. I continued to eat mostly healthy and walk the same distance every day for the three months following my pregnancy and lost an additional 20 lbs. After that, the weight just dropped slowly over a couple of years and then for the longest time I remained at 130-140 depending on the time of the month, heh. Btw, I did not breastfeed with my first baby and was able to lose the weight. I did with my second and have lost hardly anything. Nuts.

[deleted account]

My daughter was born June 6. The lowest weight i got to was 165 lbs, which was 5 lbs above my (heavy for me) prepregnancy weight. I'm now pregnant again, so apparently, it's hopeless for at least the foreseeable future! After baby 2, look out! It's 140 or bust!

Hi there, I empathise with you I am exactly the same, in fact i still look about six months pregnant : 0 My son was born June 22 and iam still breastfeeding him. My stomach is rock hard and i have only lost about 10lbs of the pregnancy weight. I have pcos so weight loss was always a struggle but this is ridiculous and my breasts are huge, it gets me down too but i then look at my son and just try to be thankful for my beautiful healthy happy boy. I excercise and eat very healthily but nothing has helped me either iam afraid.

[deleted account]

I feel your pain oh so very much. Before I had my first daughter I was 5'1" 105lbs in a size 5. By the end of my pregnancy I was 155... It's been 9 years since and I still struggle bouncing between 130 and 160. I have kind of accepted my body for the way it is now.... but that took a lot of years and tons of self esteem issues. The post baby belly is most likely always gonna be there no matter how thin you get. My friend is 5'7" and 115lbs and has it... but it looks cut as hell on her of course!. I would get a tummy tuck but cant afford that. Really I need to just stop the yo-yo dieting and live a healthy live with good eating and exercise habits. that's probably never going to happen. Good luck and try not to let it get you down. you are a human being and your body just went through the most traumatic experience ever.. you will bounce back with determination!

I'm doing okay, I tell myself. I was about 140 pounds before getting pregnant (I'm 5'8") and I was up to 185 when I gave birth via C-section, and I am now 150 pounds. I fluctuate between 148-153. I was a size 6 before getting pregnant, and I'm between a size 8 and 10. I'm accepting the size thing, my hips are just not going to go back together. ;) I am trying to concentrate on staying healthy rather than weight, I regularly get on the floor to play with my daughter (crawling around is a great workout).

[deleted account]

With my first child I gained 35 lbs and lost it all with in 2 weeks of having my c section. My second I had her via c section on June 30 and I weighed 138. Now 10 months later I am at 150 I have tried to do everything to lose the weight. The weight is really making me depressed. I dont even want my husband to look at me I dont want to go any where because I feel horrible about myself! Before I had my children I was a very small person, 105lbs. I am not wanting to go back down that low but I would like to lose some of this weight.

My pre baby body was a lot different than my now body. I used to be 120 and wear a size 2, now I am lucky if I will fit into a size 9 or 10. I still weigh 150, the same weight as a week after I had my son 11 months ago. My problem is even if I lose weight, I gain it back and my hips are a lot wider now so even if I lost the weight I still wouldn't fit into a 2. My attempt at losing weight was jogging, I didn't lose weight but I started to feel better after doing it for a while. I don't mind being weighing 150lbs. I'm pretty content with my body. If I could lose some weight, I would. But good luck I hope you find something that works!

I completely understand how your feeling...except i was alot bigger than you pre-preg. but am still struggling with the weight loss :( the day I found out I was pregnant I was 160lbs, the day I delivered I was 207lbs...yaaa i gained 47lbs with my daughter. She is now almost 11mths old and I'm only down to 185lbs. Not only did my waist get bigger, so did my thighs:( I'm hoping to lose more this summer, I'd really like to get down to 140lbs, which is ideal for my height(my dr says) but I'd be happy with just getting back to 160lbs...

[deleted account]

Stopping breastfeeding so early (when baby was 4 months) was the worst thing I could've vere done, but it was medically necessary because I was put on medication. The weight strated to pile back on and right now, I'm 22 lbs. heavier than the day I gave birth to my son, on 06/29/09.

I know how you feel. I was a size three pre-baby and now I have to squeeze myself into nines. I've found weight loss very difficult for many reasons, the main one being that I now have a baby who needs almost constant attention. I did taebo for a while, and it worked when I was doing it. It's very good at targeting all areas of your body. If you have the space, and the time (about 45 min a day) I'd suggest this. Also, my mother lost like 4 inches and 7 pounds by going raw - not eating anything processed or cooked. Two weeks doing that will not only be good for your body by cleaning out all the toxins, it will give you more energy and help you lose weight! Maybe we can start a group and talk about it together. Hope this helped in some way and good luck!

I was 115 before I got pregnant, I gained 52 pounds. My son was born 6/21/09 via emergency c-secion, I am now 124 pounds. I didn't do much, until last month, I started going for really long walks, and now do a small workout routine at home twice a day, doing about 200+ crunches a day, my "flab" is almost gone. Oh I also use firming lotion at least twice a day as well. Just eat healthy and find a good workout routine that works for you and baby.

Well u gals are way smaller than me lol, but I've lost about 30 lbs since my son was born. I think I got scared to not gain weight this time (i gained 40 with my first one!) that I didn't even notice I had lost weight till my fiance said I was wasting away. But the thing that sux is that if you don't wear a girdle right after your surgery that shelf kinda stays there and I didn't find that out until I had this one and they gave me a girdle at the hospital. So I still feel kinda flabby. But my oldest told me that he liked my "cushion" and he didn't want me to lose it LOL

I'm back down to pre-baby weight, but not to pre-hormone weight. (Our baby took a little extra special medical care to arrive.) Before I started taking hormones, I weighed 123 lbs.. I was almost 200 while pregnant. I try to focus on how much I've lost since then!

Remember, if you're nursing and on a restricted calorie diet, you need to be taking extra vitamins and nutrients in for that baby!

My daughter was born June 10, 2009 and during my pregnancy I gained 50 lbs. I was really underweight (only 93 lbs) when I found out I was pregnant. Within a month of having my girl I had lost down to 120 and now have stablized at a good weight for me at 105. I feel better due to gaining muscle from hauling lil bit around. I wait tables so that helped being very active. I do still have the after baby bump and hate it but dont complain.

It is hard at first, but I think once you start to get rolling it comes off faster? All depends on each person of course. I have not been this size in 6 almost 7 years..

I also had a c-section in June - and the weight has been hard to lose! I am down to pre-preggo weight, but it came with a lot of hard work! I know it had a lot to do with how I ate - I joined a gym weight loss program, worked out 3 hours a week, and had consultations with a nutritionist. Being accountable to someone other than yourself really helps. Also, having someone tell you what to do (a trainer) makes it so much easier to get the job done, otherwise self motivation is hard when you don't know how far you should push yourself. I am now working on my extra 25 lbs from college :) and am thinking about Jenny Craig. I just need to be accountable to someone other than myself. If you can swing - try it!

After c section is the hardest to loose the weight. All that fat tissue that's just left there is what that ugly flab is. I only gained 16lbs during pregnancy but I wasn't no size one to start with, lol. I was more of a size 13-14, at around 185lbs. I got to around 200lbs at birth and that same day dropped down to 189lbs. Instead of loosing the weight, even with all the running, walking, zumba, & watching what i eat, i have gained around 6 lbs. The weird thing is that I am about a 17 in jeans now. I think it is so gross, and just depressing also. You aren't alone hunny, but i love that we can all talk about this because it keeps our chins up yah. So i think that as long as we keep trying we can do it!

I breastfed my first and lost the 14 pds I gained with her in the first week, back to my pre baby weight of 120. After my second who was born 6/5/09, I lost all but 5 pds in the first month, back down to 130. I didnt breast feed him and that is probably why it toke so long to lose the weight, but I am a bad example because I eat well but I do not exerise, unless you count running after kids lol.

I was in the same boat as you! The best thing you can do is Cardio! I started running and have been since January and have gone from 145lbs to 120 in four months. If you do any aerobic activity at least 4 times a week it will come off. As long as your eating healthy too. The key to weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. I also do the video pump it up which is a dance video and the carmen electra strip tease work out. It makes it alot of fun!

I just had my eigth baby almost 11 months ago and am about ten pounds from where I was before my first and 1 jean size away, but it took and still takes work everyday. I still have a pooch, but it is Slowly disappearing. So quit knocking yourself so hard, sometimes it takes a little longer for your body to start working right again. I go through weeks of not seeing much happening and then all of a sudden it will just happen. Your body might still be in a bit of shock and your sleep patterns are still messed up, give it time. I've found Jillian Michaels workouts to be good, she works you HARD so be careful and listen to your body!!

My daughter was born June 2nd by c-section. I had gained about 30 pounds during my pregnancy and so far have lost 43. In my twenties I was a size 2 but underweight and then I managed to gain too much weight and become a size 14/16, very sad when you are 5'1''!!! I am much happier with my weight now but still can't fit in my clothing because my tummy is larger than it was before. I have been going on brisk walks with my little one several times a week since early February and have lost 7 pounds just from that. I am going back to work in two days and plan on using my lunch break for walks, yoga or weights (which I have not been able to do since I was pregnant) I hope this will help also. I am not overly disappointed because I was not expecting to have lost as much as I have already, the last several years weight loss has been almost impossible. And breastfeeding is AWESOME for weight loss.

I also gave birth via emergency c-section June 2, 2009. I was 143lbs before I got pregnant.. I got up to !86lbs the day I gave birth. I lost about 20lbs pretty quickly, but I am @ 150lbs now. I have been trying to eat better, Special K cereal in the am and watching my calories.. Its hard but it seems to be working. Hopefully it'll will come off. I am at a size 9 and really want to be a size 5. But dont be depressed just look at you beautiful baby and know that to make such a beautiful thing.. weight had to come with it! Good Luck!!

I had my number 4 on June 12th 2009 and I started working out 4times a week in August up till Feb then went down to 2 times a week. I found Yoga (fusion) and Pilates to be very helpful. It helped me build muscles and now with low carb diet I lost weight and tonned my muscles. I am back to my pre preg. weight and I feel more fit and have more energy than I did in the past 10 years. I never thought I will be able to use some of the muscles I am using now! But you need to avoid losing weight fast cause it will leave you with extra loose skin around your belly. It's a long process and you will need to be patient but make sure you are doing what works well for your body.
It's not easy but keep the faith you will get there eventually. Good luck!

How tall are you? I am usually a size 7/8 about 140. I have always been about that. I have a lil meat on my bones from lifting weights. I don't like to be really skinny. I like a lil muscle. I'm pretty athletic. With my daughter I weight about 140 and was 170 when I had her and I was back down to 145 and was working out 3 days a week, then I got pregnant again. My daughter was just over six months when i got prego. I think Breast feeding had a lot to do with me losing weight.
I am 5 ft 4 in. I've heard that 125 is a good weight for this height. but if I was that weight I would be pretty skinny. I'm already fairly skinny when I'm not prego. I have a larger chest than most too. So that has a bit to do with me being 140 pre prego. Good luck with your weight loss.
